Easiest to cap is when there's more skill than luck: MMA and Boxing
Hardest to cap is when there's more luck than skill: Soccer, Hockey and Baseball.

My personal rules on sports betting:
    1. Money management. Bet less than 5% of your total current bankroll per bet. Be discipline.
    2. Be a strategic gambler by picking your spots and wait for the right opportunity. Never be a compulsive gambler by betting because it's your favorite team or for the action. Do your research.
    3. Stay emotionless all the time. Bet like a robot. There's no place for emotions in this profession. Be unbiased.
    4. Do not judge a team based on what they did last week.

    5. Never bet on heavily juiced/vig lines. Like a line at -1000 for example.
    6. Never bet on heavily valued lines. Like a terrible team at 100 to 1 odds to win championship.
    7. Parlays should be no longer than 2 teams, the bigger the parlay is, the bigger the House Edge. Research and Secure your first pick before moving on to your second pick.

    8. Teasers should never pass through the zero.

Maximize your odds by betting on 7 point teasers on sides.
Ignore teasers that are 6 point, 6.5 point and on totals.
Teasers and Parlays give the sportsbooks the most house edge.
If you had to bet on one of these, it would be on the 7 point teaser.

    http://wizardofodds.com/games/sports...ng/nfl-parlay/
    9. Teams with home field/court advantage tend to win games. Sportsbooks know this and favorites the home team.
    "Whoever is first in the field and awaits the coming of the enemy, will be fresh for the fight;
whoever is second in the field and has to hasten to battle will arrive exhausted." -Sun Tzu, the Art of War
    10. Never bet on double digit road favorites. You will lose in the long run.
    11. Never bet on preseason games on any sport. Predicting on 2nd string teams is stupid because of the lack of game footage on mostly unknown players.
    12. Understand how to bet on underdogs ML and ATS:
    http://www.wagerminds.com/blog/nfl-h...d-ranges-2496/
    13. If you are extremely compulsive, arrogant, drunk and biased. The best advice is to "Don't Gamble".
    14. Learn from your mistakes. Most gamblers don't learn from their mistakes. That's why I made these gambling rules.

Can't find any consistent patterns in MLB or NHL. I try to stay away from both.

    its like this pal....

in order to be successful at handicappin you must watch a lot of whatever you are betting on. Thats why people get buried early in NCAA hoops season bc they bet on teams b4 they ever watched a certain team play.

Funny story i was reading about high stakes fantasy football.... apparently this woman in Ohio who happens to be an attorney is one the most well known successful fantasy football players in the world....

now you say how the fukk can a woman be good at fantasy sports??????

well its simple. This woman is a lawyer so she is used to being a good reader. Reading very quickly and retaining every detail of what she reads. So why can't that work for sports betting?

if you put the work in ... anything is possible.

To be a good gambler you must put hours and hours in breaking down film of previous games, analyzing matchups, crunching stats, and stuff like that...

I have never watched hockey consistently in my life. However..... i am convinced if i bought the NHL package and made my self watch hockey every night for 2 months and then on top of that if i read every piece of litterature i could get my hands on... quotes from coaches, injury reports, goalie changes etc.... i think i would be a very successful hockey handicapper.

why? b/c i am an excellent judge of talent and i think the NHL is a league that flys under the radar and is rype for the pick'in.

Sharps clean up in hockey. And bookies cant do shit to stop them.

    For me personally

1.College Football - My bread and butter.
    2. NFL Football- Sometimes shit dont make sense in the NFL like this past weekend when Saints lose at home on MNF but then beat Pittsburgh Steelers on the road.... head scratcher!
    3. World Cup Soccer- Like taking candy from a baby. Almost too easy.
    4. NCAA Basketball- Very easy to do ML parlays when game are not played at neutral courts. Home court means everything!!!!!
    5. MLB- MLB goes thru many phases. Opening day is very predictable and until about mid may it stay fairly predictable.
Dog days of summer get kinda wild... and MLB playoffs especially this year were a crap shoot.
