Why would FSU get in with 1 loss and no conference championship? The committee doesn't care about conferences, they care about putting the 4 best teams in the playoff. And if FSU loses this Saturday, they will drop them. We're talking about a football team who barely beat an unranked Boston College, Notre Dame and Florida team. If FSU was #1 or #2 right now, I'd have a better time agreeing with you. Not when they're #3. They lose, they're cooked.

There really is no set criteria, they could take four teams from one conference if they wanted too. So again, the entire ACC is out with an FSU loss and two Big 12 teams get in despite that conference not having a championship game. They won't move Ohio State up no matter what because they won't let a team down to its third quarterback in.
every qb urban myer plays is almost as good as the guy ahead of him. miller got hurt last year and his backup was just as good. miller got hurt this year and his backup was just as good. its urban myers system not the qb. alex smith, tebow, miller, barrett, any qb in his system will be in the running for heisman barring injury.

but i dont think ohio state should get in even if barret was healthy over a 1 loss florida state team. they lost to a bad acc team and fsu is defending champs. big 10 is just as bad as the acc.

But the thing there is that the latest OSU quarterback JUST got hurt. Again I am not saying it is fair or not, it just is what it is and the committee will penalize them with the new QB not having enough games to establish himself.

And Ohio State is not the team that would leapfrog FSU if Noles lose, TCU and Baylor both would if all three finish with one loss, much to STAX's chagrin.

No chance both TCU and Baylor get in over FSU, if they all have 1 loss, no chance in hell. In fact, I dont think either will get in over FSU.
As was stated above, one day doesn't make a complete body of work...just like nearly a decade of SEC BCS champions when Auburn lost to FSU last season everyone said see 1 time means the rest didn't happen. But to last weekend, it was the SEC EAST so what do you expect. And all games were not 'dominated' as you put it if you watched the games besides the Carolina Clemson matchup which the Cocks suck no doubt. Gators should have beaten the Noles by double digits with all the crap that happened in that game...'Ville over Kentucky was 50/50 and Georgia..well you tell us...squib kick under a minute left with the lead, a 53 yard FG to send it to OT then a pick on the OT drive. Not really domination.

I agree both Baylor and TCU won't be in the final 4 regardless of outcome of the ACC championship. But what fun will be in store if K State, Ga Tech and Wisky all win this weekend over the favorites....late season chaos

Guys let's just see what the Playoff Standings look like tonight. If Bayor is ranked ahead of Ohio State, it would guarantee that if both TCU and Baylor win this week, Ohio State would be out regardless of what they do provided at least 2 of the top 3 teams win. Also will be interested to see where Missouri is placed.

Missouri is only #16 and Wisconsin just #13. Arizona is #7 and thus would benefit the most with an upset win this weekend.

Ohio State is 5 and Baylor is 6. Buckeyes not penalized yet so looks like they get in if one of top 4 lose.

OK so now it is clear cut. Florida State is definitely out with a loss (not that I ever felt otherwise anyway) and Ohio State is still alive. Baylor will need a miracle and it actually now looks like ARIZONA will be in if it beats Oregon again.

As Sammy predicted... Now if top 4 wins there will be NO Ala & Fl St champ game - bad TV

They want Ala v Oregon for champ game

Top two did not change so committee is still picking Bama vs. Oregon championship. If ratings hold, FSU will will have shorter trip to Sugar Bowl to face Alabama than it would have if it had to face Oregon in Rose Bowl.

wow tcu jumps fsu because they got 6 turnovers against a horrible texas offense??? they could hardly move the ball against texas and struggled with kansas the week before. struggling with kansas is much worse than all of fsu's struggles combined. kansas needed +3 in turnovers vs se missouri st (3-5 fcs conference record) to win by 6.

It's all about keeping FSU's trip short so they won't have to go to Pasadena. Relax guys....the committee knows what they're doing. It's like college basketball. They're setting this up so they have regional matchups.

So if Alabama loses do they move TCU up to 1 and keep FSU at 4 to keep Oregon on the west coast...or move FSU to #1.

Alabama is in no matter what. Win they are #1, lose they are #4. Also the Oregon/Arizona winner is in. After that the pecking order is TCU, Florida State, Ohio State, Baylor. Pretty straightforward now actually.

Arizona +14.5 vs a team they beat and knows their offense. Am I dreaming...Or is due theory and revenge theory worth all those points? Wow!
