In a game against the Springfield Falcons, Leggio's opponents sprinted down the ice on a 2-on-0. So Leggio decided his best chance to stop the play was to knock the net off its moorings and deal with a penalty shot.As you can see at the end of the video, the move actually worked as Leggio stopped the ensuing penalty shot. According to ctpost.com, Leggio believed he had a greater opportunity to make a save on a breakaway than a 2-on-0. "I thought there was a better percentage chance of stopping one guy instead of two," he said.
