There's always been a joke at the restaurants I've worked out down here.
If someone is paying for their $17 tab with a $100 we know they're poor. That money is a substitute for a bank account because they can't afford to keep their money in a bank account. Probably paid $12 just to cash their paycheck.

I guess I just expect guys close to my age with some of the same interests and possibly lifestyle to certainly be more aware of the world around them and the reasons that things are changing. It is not for your benefit. You have been trained to believe that only certain ways of doing things are acceptable. If u are referring to collections loving automatic deductions cuz it keeps it at the minimal payment thus enabling the interest not being paid down quicker , I get that. But what works for some doesn't work for others.
Some people prefer automatic deductions cuz no worrying about forgetting a payment and less time writing checks.
