    Jeters last game

Looks like no one cares, a sure HOFer playing almost 20 years with the same team, not something we see everyday.

How is there no DEREK JETER thread today with it being his last home game EVER??

Been looking forward to this game all week.
Weather sucks but hopefully they get it in.
Guarantee you no one is leaving that building even in a monsoon.

I'm surprised this line didn't get hammered, it's actually went down in Yanks favor because of Gausman's ownage of the Yanks.

    Either way, Farewell Jeter,
I'm sure I will get goosebumps about 20 or 30 times watching this game if they play it.

Not only the end of a great career, but the end of an era for the Yanks in which they will be a .500 team for quite some time in the near future.
The last of the Yankee farm greats also.
Hard to believe this is the first time in his 19 year career the Yanks were already eliminated from playoff contention at this point in the season.

    It's overkill it's baseball guy

    He is not dying

He made over $200 million in New York or more

Very very greedy as far as money

He has gotten hammered across United States of the overkill

He went out and attention seeker because he was getting paid and the total opposite of what he always was

Might be one of the cheapest baseball players of all times

    Who cares it's overkill

He would've been out of baseball 10 years ago if he play for a team like Chicago Cubs

He was no Pete Rose, no Babe Ruth, no Mickey Mantle, and I can go on and on

Mickey Mantle had a one-day tribute his last day and no one ever heard from him again

Derek Jeter has had a whole year tribute

It's to a point where he's getting the heavily criticized

Anyone watching Jeter's last game instead of football definitely is gay or bisexual

Real men watch football when given a choice

I'd upgrade from that weed to crack homey. I'm watching. It's a nothing baseball game in terms of it meaning anything, but you don't see guys like Jeter but once a generation if that now-a-days. All his time with one club. True pro on the field no matter what else you think.

This could be his last AB ....

Yankees wasted the last three years of their season having him on the team

They could've bought a young stud and the team would be a much more competitive

I am a realist he destroyed the Yankees future by playing too long

He has been an automatic out for years and a non-threat

Why would a guy who hit .300 or better for 11 seasons be out of baseball 10 years ago?

He got hurt, came back for one last season.
Before that he was hardly an automatic out.
    Quit posting idiot.

Derek Jeter had 11 seasons in his career in which he batted over .300 and finished with both double-digit homers and steals. But you want to guess how many other players in history have had 11 seasons like that? The correct answer, according to Lee Sinins' Complete Baseball Encyclopedia: zero.
