Just to get you up to speed, this is the conclusion of the game that got rained out (suspended) in the middle of the 10th inning, the conclusion is in Cleveland, but KC is the home team since it was rained out in Kansas City on Aug. 31
Alex Gordon hit his second homer of the game in the ninth to tie the game at 2 and 2, Holland, who has been pretty much perfect all season, puked up 2 runs in the tenth to Chisenhall on a crushed deep double, to make the game 4-2, downpours forced the suspension.
So this is where we are at.
KC coming up, bottom of the tenth, they are trailing 4-2.
Kyle Crockett was announced so he must start the tenth inning for Cleveland or be replaced.
Shaw and Allen have been exhausted, and Crockett was announced in the tenth to relieve Allen.
Lorenzo Cain made the last out in the ninth, KC will be sending up their 7-8-9 hitters, who are Moose (7) catcher Erik Kratz (8) Escobar (9)
Sal Perez is the DH, so Kratz caught.
Pitcher Crockett is have a pretty nice season, 40 games, all in relief, good K ratio, ERA and WH/IP
Crockett has faced Moose 3 times, got him out all three times, one K
Crockett has no history versus Kratz or Escobar.
So, the books are offering +775 if you think KC can get two in the tenth to tie it up and extend the game, or three to win. Mind you if KC gets two in the tenth and lose later, well you lose (well duh)
Now, the books are offering a o/u of 6.5 at +325/-410, which pretty much says if you think KC can scratch out at least 1 run, theyt'll pay you +325.
Remember, KC is the speediest team in the American League, Moose has so-so speed, Kratz has no speed, but Escobar is fast, and if KC can flip it to the top of the order, the lineup from here on out has disrupting speed.
KC has speed on the bench too, Roberto Perez is the games catcher for Cleveland, and he has only thrown out 7 of 20 would be base stealers, and KC loves to run.
I can't handicap this inning much further, and after doing so, I think KC can scratch out a run, will make a tiny 20 or 30 dollar bet on the 'over' 6.5 and get paid at +325.
If I'm wrong, so be it, but KC is very capable of getting one across here.
Moose has to get on is imperative for this bet to click.
