in football yes i have been doing well but baseball is a different story. I have not had a good post season in MLB. I lost on the A's wild card game, Lost on Angels series bet, and then lost again on the Orioles series bet.

i was actually leaning Giants and Spurs for a 2 game parlay... I bet on the Giants last time Peavy pitched and i lost so i was thinking Peavy and the Giants come thru tonight and the NBA play i got from Benny Big Nuts.

Vogelstains is 38 years old bro and is a rag-arm piece of garbage.
Bumgarner is and has been a stud in the making for a while. He's 25 and left handed.
It's not rocket science and shouldn't be a surprise what he's doing.

Vogey benifets from pitching at AT&T park but he does have decent movement on his fastball.
When he is commanding his pitches and not getting squeezed by the umpire he is very effective but he has to stay on the corners and stay low in the zone to be effective.

He is def not going to over power a big league hitter.

First off, to Crusty.....Bum has been the best Giants pitcher for 3+ years and it isn't out of the question that anyone would pick him to lead them in wins this year. Not only is he a lefty, he pitches in a great ballpark for a lefty, AND he shows unbelievable resiliency.

Secondly, to those jumping on Crusty now....come on. This guy is pitching WAY above his career expectations. Look at Vogelsong....another guy with very good playoff runs.....and he has shit the bed. I do not believe anyone (other than maybe tatddy (a total homer, sorry tatddy)) would have thought he would be THIS GOOD. I don't take sides.....even against guy like Crusty and Treeleaper (who have attacked me for my picks in the past). I think that the truth about Mad Bum lies somewhere in the middle. I think that he could become the next best thing.....but we all need to remember that guys like 'Big Game James' come and go....this is simple variance and will always happen. How many players become known as playoff guys and then shit the bed? It happens....sane with guys that are playoff flops....then all of a sudden breakout.

Guess what boys.....the playoffs are very short. 90% of the good and the bad can be blamed on variance....although I personally think Mad Bum supersedes variance here.

GL tomorrow boys....and Crusty....get rid of that nose ring....not cool.
if u really read the entire thread, you should have known i already covered all your points.

    1. bumgarner being giants ace for "3+ seasons" is simply untrue.

    2011
    vogelson 13-7 2.71 era
    matt cain 12-11 2.88 era
    bumgarner 13-13 3.21 era

    2012
    matt cain 16-5 2.79 era
    bumgarner 16-11 3.37 era

    2013
    bumgarner 13-9 2.77 era
    lincecum 10-14 4.37
    cain 8-10 4.00
    zito 5-11 5.74
    vogelson 4-6 5.73 era

u can argue that bum was the ace last season with just 13 wins but only by default since every other starter stunk.

    2. as far as some clown claiming 13 wins always translates to 18 wins the next season.....

    verlander 13 to 15
    nolasco 13 to 6
    shields 13 to 14
    jimenez 13 to 6
    porcello 13 to 15
    minor 13 to 6
    bumgarner 13 to 18
    darvish 13 to 10

so out of 8 pitchers who won 13 games in 2013, only bumgarner won 18 games. and only half the pitchers improved over their previous seasons wins while the other half had as much as 7 less wins. so debunked another myth.

    3. like they say monday morning qbs are rarely wrong. all these people claiming to know bumgarner would become a dominant ace this season of course never thought or said that before the season. the biggest mouth among them is twizzler who swears that he knew all along yet the dumbfuk keeps betting against him saying volquez "the volcano" and "big game" james shields are better than him. which proves the dumbfuk is a lying pos.

    4. i dont have a nose ring. dont be so naive as to believe what pathological liars claim on the internet.

Is it Wade Davis? Career ERA right around 4. ERA of 5.32 last season, with 169 hits allowed in 135 innings. His numbers this year are almost fake. 31 hits allowed in 64 innings and 96 strikeouts with a .7 ERA and .8 WHIP isn't even possible.

Is it Collin McHugh? This guy gave up over a run per inning (58 ER in 52 IP) a year ago (equally hard to do). Cut by the Jays. Cut by the Mets. Cut by the Rockies for chrissakes. Now he somehow has a 2.7 ERA for the Astros, and he's suddenly untouchable. 3-0 with a .81 and .49 WHIP in September. 3-0 with a 1.91 ERA in August. WTF?

I know fluke stretches and even fluke runs are a part of baseball, but these three cats are completely defying the odds and not only having career years, but putting up Cy Young-esque numbers despite having zero track record of being anything better than journeymen pitchers.

Bizarro baseball at its finest. And watch, all three will be toiling away in mediocrity at this time next season. Jim Johnson, here they come.

Who is your biggest "Fluke" so far this year?

i wouldnt exactly call Collin McHugh a fluke pal
