dude who the fuk else would you have put it on on the Giants starting rotation. STFU and stop talking good god you tried using the amount of wins he had last year to compare how good he was. Why dont you take a look at his numbers vs the big bad LA Dodgers. How about we dont compare trash organizations like Texas and Colorado to the San Francisco Giants.

Would I seriously have put $1000 on Matt Cain, How about Tim Hudson, How about Ryan Vogelsong, How about Tim Lincecum? Who the hell would I have put it on. Buster Posey???? I mean I could of put it on Brandon Belt.

    ur a moron.

funny how none of u idiots can produce a single post prior to the season saying bumgarner would win 18 games and become a cy young candidate. not one.

of course the biggest idiot is twizzler who swore up and down that he knew all along bumgarner would have a great season then picked volquez over bumgarner in a 1 game elimination playoffs.

Not only is he an elite pitcher, he might be the best in baseball all things considered.

Dude, he's given up like 1 earned run in 30+ World Series innings or some freak stat like that. About to win a third title by the age of 25, and he's been the driving force behind all of them.

Then he would've won MVP the first two times.

He's really good. I don't think he's the best in baseball. Not trying to diminish him at all.

Not necessarily. Only one pitcher has won the WS MVP since '03 -- Hamels in '08. He only got one start in '10 and '12, but completely dominated both times (15 IP, 5 H, 0 ER, 4 BB, 14 K).

Ok, somehow I got through this entire thread.....oh wait, I am drunk, that's how I managed to get through it.

First off, to Crusty.....Bum has been the best Giants pitcher for 3+ years and it isn't out of the question that anyone would pick him to lead them in wins this year. Not only is he a lefty, he pitches in a great ballpark for a lefty, AND he shows unbelievable resiliency.

Secondly, to those jumping on Crusty now....come on. This guy is pitching WAY above his career expectations. Look at Vogelsong....another guy with very good playoff runs.....and he has shit the bed. I do not believe anyone (other than maybe tatddy (a total homer, sorry tatddy)) would have thought he would be THIS GOOD. So, don't jump on the guy after this spectacular pitching performance has already happened.

I don't take sides.....even against guy like Crusty and Treeleaper (who have attacked me for my picks in the past). I think that the truth about Mad Bum lies somewhere in the middle. I think that he could become the next best thing.....but we all need to remember that guys like 'Big Game James' come and go....this is simple variance and will always happen. How many players become known as playoff guys and then shit the bed? It happens....sane with guys that are playoff flops....then all of a sudden breakout.

Guess what boys.....the playoffs are very short. 90% of the good and the bad can be blamed on variance....although I personally think Mad Bum supersedes variance here.

GL tomorrow boys....and Crusty....get rid of that nose ring....not cool.

Uhhh don't post drunk suhn. I'm the furthest thing from an SF homer you'll find here (talking about SF fans). I've always kept an even perspective. You can look at all my posts here the last 4 years you won't see blind SF backing.

I don't give a shitt about "greatest ever" or "greatest in the game". Waste of a debate in most cases, especially as it relates to debating different eras.

I did post this (http://www.sportsbookreview.com/foru...e-mad-bum.html) and it was mostly to just appreciate the guy and to help people remember how fkn young he is.
