It's a brain stimulant, it doesn't make you run faster, or hit the ball harder, it makes you lock in on the ball like a laser. It's an amazing concentration pill, it's also a federal controlled narcotic, street lingo is it's a dexy

Davis had a 'script last year, but MLB just changed the rules.

He was taking amphetamines. They help with focusing. Drug should not be banned if it helps player make more money.

    I wasn't banned in 2013 providing you had a legit doctor's script.
    Which he did.
But I'm told MLB modified that rule, I need to research that more, right now I have better things to do, like watch sports.

it's still ok with a doctor's approval. He had that in the past, he doesn't now.

    "Greenies","Brown and clears" - amphetamines,
    "Blackies" - bi-amphetamines

    Super energy boost, Hang-over erasers.

    Oriole tradition....
Brook Robinson was a habitual greenie user...
When he exploded and was tossed over an obvious call at 3rd base
he later laughed and said his "greenie" kicked-in.

Jim Bouton chronicled rampant amphetamine use in "Ball Four".
He claimed bowls full of "greenies" were a common fixture in MLB clubhouses.
