    The funny part is that u guys can't figure out once these guys sign those huge contracts they are now property of the corrupt leagues and books. I told u the same thing about Steven Strats from Washington and next year Kershaw will all of the sudden turn average. Nothing new here if ya can just take out the stupid in ur brain and realize there is huge money to be made for these leagues and books when u fix games, or have someone doing the leg work so the umps don't have to do all of it.

    hes got a ton of innings behind him... remember all those games where Leyland continued to trot him out there at 115-120 pitches late in the games and it seemed like verlander didnt miss a beat?

    well now its starting to take its toll on him... fastball that used to be 96-98 is now tops out at 94

    nothing surprising at all here

    Justin Verlander left Monday's start versus the Pirates after one inning due to soreness in his right shoulder.

    Verlander was hammered for five runs -- four earned -- on four hits and two walks over his inning of work, but he was apparently pitching hurt. The right-hander has never missed a start during his career due to a health issue, but that streak is obviously in jeopardy now. He will be re-evaluated on Tuesday
