Here are mine. Trying to be somewhat original.
1. Aaron Rodgers- Id take him over any starting qb in the NFL if I had to start a team today. Makes some of the most difficult throws under duress I have ever seen, he is just a flat out playmaker. Throws frozen ropes. Always shows up in big games, don't ever remember him pulling a Peyton. Been playing behind dog shit line for last two years and a d that cant stop Niners to save their life.
2. Peyton Manning- Were talkin regular season so had to put the Sheriff in top 2. His physical ability has obviously deteriorated but preparation still unmatched. Knowledge of defensive schemes unmatched at his position. See him having another huge year, winning division getting a week off and coming in and laying an egg. Hope im wrong, but he just is atrocious coming off a bye in the post season.
3. Ben Roethlisberger- Guy gets no love. Had some off the field issues and experienced new OC coordinator and I see him having a huge year. MVP type shit. They got some speed in Pittsburgh, he's healthier than he been in years and best of all, nobody is talking about Pittsburgh.
4. Joe Flacco- Guy won a superbowl, got paid and had a bad year I believe as a result and he's obviously over that now being its been a reality for a while now. Best deep ball in the NFL hands down. Think him and Steve Smith are a great fit and Ravens should be back in the top tier of AFC this year.
5. Tom Brady- I fukkin hate this guy so If you think hes too low kiss my ass. Guy fukkin hasn't beat anybody in a decade post season. Nobody. Plays the bills, dolphins and Jets every year big deal. If Pats don't cheat Maybe hes a modern day Jim Kelley, we'll never know. He is top 5 QB no doubt, but keep in mind everyone listed above has WON superbowls more recent.
6. Drew Breese- Prob gonna lead league in passing this year, or will be at least top 3 in passing but some of that is the offense he is in. One of his strengths is making the guys around him better and decision making. Is prob best for my money in the end of half/2 min situations when his pieces are all healthy around him. Unfortunately for him I don't see Graham being as effective.
7. Andrew Luck- Kid has great size and an eagerness and talent to be one of the all time greats. Dude is lights out in the 4th q. His 4th quarter numbers are phenomenal for any QB let alone a very young guy replacing Manning. Student of the game and is more athletic the gets credit for. Another guy who has all the throws. Had no Reggie Wayne parts of last year still had a big season. Guy ever gets a decent receiving core lookout.
8. Collin Kaepernick- Prob most mobile guy in nfl. Big arm. Not scared of the big moments. Rare in a guy with his backround. Good size as well. Think as a young player he will improve. Has good receivers and great head coach to help utilize his strengths.
9. Eli Manning- Guy has a lot of turnovers but cant deny what hes been able to do. Last year was rough but I have faith he will get the turnovers down this year. Him and Coughlin been doing this for a minute and I think that division will be as tough as ever this year and their experience winning in the past will payoff.
10. Phillip Rivers- This was prob the hardest spot. Could of gone with a few guys at this spot. He is a gamer and always plays Peyton tough. Had a new Coach last year that I think is a great fit and see that working out that much better this year. He also has been playing under some of the worst ownership in the league and has still had success. Veteran savy, plays hurt and is another guy with balls.
Know everybody will disagree with most of this. Oh well, had to get my football fix in some how. Getting so close to the start of the season not even sleeping at night.
