    How old were you when you made your first bet?

    What was it that you bet on?

    and did someone introduce you to gambling or did you find it on your own?

    the reason i ask is most people in the outside world i run into at work, ymca, bars, etc... don't seem to be avid sports fans or sports investors...

    what i'm saying is maybe we at SBR are a rare breed of human... no?

    I was 18 and bet orlando magic -9.5 or 10 at home vs the cavs back in 2012. i was in vegas and had my brother in law wager for me, he showed me the ropes then i got a bookie late that year

    I was 7 Dad took me to the Yankee game we hit the track on the way home
    His buddy hank said ill bet 2 bucks for you kid pic a winner I picked 3 it won
    that was the last time I won a race i think

    parlay cards when I was around 10 - grandpa would let me pick out a $10 4 teamer to win $100 each week - only hit one that season but was hooked lol.

    9 or 10 years old. Bookies at the races would take and payout bets to anyone of any age in the 70s in Australia. My parents owned a few racehorses so I started out betting on them. But quickly moved on to betting every race on the card before I hit 11

    there are definitely rare breeds here. its what keeps me around. i started playing poker around 15 both in home games and online. didnt sports bet until around 20 or 21.

    15... Lived in france back then you can bet in any cafe on sports (almost exclusively soccer and a bit of rugby and bball back then, they've expanded a bit now) no one cares how old you are even though theoretically it's 18+.

    Only thing that sucks is that the odds are -125/-125... Sometimes worse. So needless to say I was a losing gambler for a while bar a hot streak here and there. I thought I could win 6 figures by the time I graduated HS when I started lmao. It seems so easy before you start.

    I think 10 or so. Started pitching baseball cards against the wall, to nickels, dimes, and an occasional quarter and then pimping football cards and well you can take it from there.
