Brazil are indeed the home team and have tremendous support, but their journey ends here. Germany are strong and have depth of talent. Its no doubt that Brazil has talent as well, but their lack of strong defense will be exposed today. Germany is a great team in possession and I believe they are the strongest side left of the 4.

Argentina-Dutch:
Messi looks like a man possessed and poised to grab some hardware for his country. The dutch have been a team of destiny. This will be a heck of a semi final game with lots of flare. Argentina may be over matched, though. At this stage in the tournament they need a little more than what I've seen for them to make the final. I dont see it in them.

Final: Germany-Dutch:
Two teams that have some storied history from the world cup. Both teams full of stars. I believe Germany is the strongest side in the tournament and have thought so since be for it all started. I think the way they play in possession mixed with one of the world's best keepers will win them this final.

Germany should/will put out the same lineup as against the french and play strong on the back end all day.

With Neymar out Brazil will play with more structure in the middle.

Brazil's defence and goalkeeper are their best side, as it was stated earlier in the thread. Claiming Brazil's defence is weak is hilarious. The only problem was Dani Alves but the coach replaced him with Maicon for the quarterfinal. Marcelo was erroneous in the first matches but has gained momentum and has been playing very well in the matches against Chile and Colombia.

Given how weak Brazil's midfield has been in the second halves against Chile and Colombia and that they will be playing without Neymar, we can expect a defensive approach from them. The return of Luis Gustavo (who will probably replace Paulinho) is going to be good for that.

On the other hand, Germany's forwards haven't been very impressive in the last two games. Everything here points towards a low-scoring game.

ed: There is still some possibility that the lack of Thiago Silva will cause trouble to the Brazil's side but my expectations are good play from Dante tonight. Moreover, he knows the German players very well.

Its just inevitable that brazil's defense gets broken down, in my eyes. They are known for being a shaky side defensively, but having definitely shown some strength in this WC. I do not believe it will continue with the enormous amount of pressure on them at this point. Germany also has a very skilled midfield and attackers that can break them Down.
