YES I am a homer, but I said the Seahawks would win when few thought they would, and while I wont say the Mariners will win the WS for sure, I will say that +5000 is crazy +EV. The Mariners have 2 of the best pitchers in the game - you know who I mean. As well, Elias is probably the best #3 and team has. Paxton could come back soon and he was great before his injury. Today, the Mariners got a shutout from their #4 starter and 3 bullpen pitchers. The Mariners just played a 7 game road trip against good teams except TB and gave up 17 runs in 7 games. While the Mariners hitting is inconsistent it is getting better, and the front office continues to look to add bats. I am sure we will add another strong bat before long. You add another good bat to this lineup and combine that with this awesome starting rotation, and give me +5000. Yes that's a great bet. Or am I just a Homer ?

So why not ( felix, Iwakuma, Elias, Paxton ) along with top BA in Cano, Jones, Smoak, Zunino, Chavez, etc. I actually believe you wont be an M's fan until they win. Lots of "life Long" Seahawk fans appeared out of nowhere over the last 2 years as well.

how can you possibly say zero percent chance when we have Iwakuma and Hernandez and another dominant starter in either Elias or Paxton. When the DBacks won the WS they didn't have crap for hitting, they just had 2 dominant starters. We have 2 and could easily have 3 come playoff time.

Seager is a key ingredient if the Ms are going to contend in the post season. You need a strong 3B to really compete and Seager has stepped up.

Especially in the past month -- 13 R 6 HRs 24 RBIs 2 SB and a .358 avg. Those are Miggy numbers.

I forgot the league added an extra WC team for the play - in game.
I do agree that would be the only way to get in...and gotta watch out for teams that have nothing to lose.
With King Felix likely to start in the play - in game (provided they don't win the division and make the play - in game), they will have a great shot to make some noise.
