    Problem is, you have to also possess a laid-back attitude and not be insufferable to your toddler-like players. Really, there are two examples of this right now in the NBA: Pops and Hornacek. Players say they want to win on the surface, but if that means playing team ball and checking their egos at the door, they're reluctant. Steve Kerr is a popular name being thrown around because he is seen as a Hornacek-type coach -- knowledgeable, level-headed and even-tempered. That's why Hoiberg gets so much play these days, too.
