There is no chance both make opening day roster and they will not be cutting a first round pick.

So basically you are saying they signed someone they know they will cut?

Pretty much. Teams do it all the time.

Out of the 256 players drafted today at least 100 won't make opening day roster.

SEC quarterbacks really did poor in draft but worse for running backs. I saw a stat on alabama running backs recent success in nfl, really poor numbers recently. These guys get worked too death and beat up in the sec schedule and by sabans tough regimen. I wouldnt want to be a Top flight running back at Alabama or SEC or the Big Ten , play for some conference where you could dominate and go into the nfl healthy. Look at clowneys numbers last year, why injure yourself in the SEC schedule and ruin your chances to make money in the nfl or just unionize and make some money for all you do for the schools coffers.

Seems like a good point, maybe why we see so many injuries now as college game got so physical

guy was brought in to push Manziel on his work ethic and approach to mental aspect of the game.

this kid is a good good kid and he'll do it right from day 1

coaching staff will be sure to point that out and praise him every chance they get in front of Manziel, to hopefully strike some fear into him, that he might lose his spot if he doesn't start working harder...

Johnny M will be a major disappointment. He has major head issues. As soon as he takes one bigtime shot in an NFL game, he's toast. Shaw should be kept for a while, to see how things pan out. Manziel is all mouth.
