Did Brooklyn Intentionally Drop to 6th Seed to Play Raptors in the Playoffs?

    Seemed that way to me.

Sometimes these strategies backfiring the team loses in the playoffs and I would not doubt it here

They weren't tanking in order to play Toronto. They just stopped giving a damn after they lost that game in Orlando last week and saw they couldn't get home court in the 1st round. Then it just became about resting up and making sure everybody was as healthy as possible.

On the flip this bodes well for the wizards. Wall cannot guard small fast pgs. Avoiding Toronto is exactly what they needed

I know we live in loser city, but you have to admit Raptors have been playing well. Why won't in translate to the post-season? I think they have the 2nd best PG in the East.

    Bottom line experience.

400 games versus 24 playoff games.

I still hope Raptors smash them

A lot of these playoff series are anybody's ballgame

    It should be fun

nets dropped to 6th so they play toronto in the first round and miami in the 2nd round since they swept them in the regular season they think thats an easier matchup then indiana

They would rather play toronto over chicago, and miami over indi.

    Doesn't mean they will win.

I do not think any series will be easy this year
    Teams are pretty even

No one will be surprised if they beat them

They got exactly what they wanted.....Raptors and Heat instead of Bulls/Pacers path (2 teams they have had trouble with)

Nets Raptors should be a great series...all 4 games were very close

I gotta agree with this. They probably believe they take out Toronto in 4 or 5 games...THEN REST and hope all the other series run long...If there goal was to get to the Finals, they gonna have tough matchup in 2nd round no matter what, so they wanted the easiest out in the 1st.

They didn't want another series against the bulls running 7 games and leaving themselves beaten and battered if they were to win that series, then have to go against the heat or indy, where they'd likely just be running on fumes.
