Love the Pads tonight. Cashner has great stuff, and he has thrown the ball well vs L.a. They played a few games since the trip down under, but I think they are going to have somewhat of a hangover this first week.

Kershaw should be back in Dodger rotation in a bit over a week. He is scheduled to throw 70-80 pitches in his final rehab start on Wednesday.

Why should it be? He could pick up where he left off last year. Dodgers probably being ultra-cautious, which is probably a good thing.

It looks like Kershaw is good to go, maybe on Monday.

Clayton Kershaw struck out nine batters while allowing two runs -- one earned -- over five innings in a rehab start for Double-A Chattanooga on Wednesday.

Kershaw threw 86 pitches, giving up six hits in the outing. It was most likely his last rehab start before rejoining the team for next week's series against the Nationals in Washington, D.C. He's on track to make the start on Monday, so monitor what the Dodgers say in the days leading up to that game.

The Dodgers are exercising "extreme caution" in their handling of Clayton Kershaw's back inflammation, Yahoo! Sports' Tim Brown reports.

Brown said Kershaw fought the Dodgers on the decision to scratch him from Sunday's start and that the team is hopeful he'll be ready for the following series against the Giants. It sounds as though it's minor and the team is just ensuring the injury doesn't turn into something more serious.
He has been dealing with this for a while, let's hope they give it enough time to feel better (heal) instead of rushing him back.
