Whats the biggest withdrawal you have ever gotten from 5dimes?

    Just curious.

Was thinking about putting 2 $500 bets on Orioles at 9-1 since the max future bet is $500 and i was just wondering if the Orioles win the AL East if they will actually send me a check for $9,000???

except that the orioles cannot win the AL east. i would give you 15-1 and put the money up front if by some miracle they do. possibility of a 4th place finish but certainly are destined for 5th. may edge out ny for 4th if everything goes right.

Well reason i want to make a big future like that is i love watching baseball but its more fun to watch when you have a team to root for. There are no MLB parks anywhere near where I live so i have no favorite team and i really like the talent the Orioles have and their skipper.

Is it the pitching that concerns you? B/c hitting wise i can't name a better hitting club in all of baseball.

Nelson Cruz , JJ Hardy, Delmon Young as your 6,7,8 hitters thats pretty sick.

Jimenez, Gonzalez, Norris, Chen, Tillman are a solid 5.

i mean i know a lot of people love the Tampa Rays with that rotation of
Price, , Cobb, Moore, Archer, Ordozzi but other than Wil Myers and Longoria they cant hit.

Yankees won't stay healthy.. i just cant see it. Too fragile.

Red Sox will have a down year in my opinion. Peavy and Lackey will not be able to duplicate the success of last year and i think Boegarts and Middlebrooks are overrated.

Blue Jays will compete. They will win plenty of games but i just dont think are consistent enough.
Too many strikeouts.. an all or nothing type approach at the plate. They have some fragile but talented arms in the rotation.

Its anybodys division in my opinion. Under the right circumstances i could see any of those teams winning the division. Nobodys going to run away with this division as there will be a ton of parity and a tight race. The division winner may not win 90 games.

You do realized that Baltimore hitters struck out more than Toronto hitters last year, right?

Toronto also had a higher OBP than Baltimore.

The best part-- Toronto hitters WALKED almost 100 more times than Baltimore hitters, yet...

You think-- in that fuking brain of yours-- that Toronto is less disciplined at the plate than Baltimore.

    Holy fuk.

I swear to god you do this shit on purpose.

No one can be made to look this foolish day-in, day-out.

Stats are not everything. Thats what happened LAST year.

Blue Jays were riddled with injuries last year so their line-up was missing a bunch of guys that strike out a ton.

in my opinion Colby Rasmus, Jose Bautista, Encarnacion, Lawrie seem to strike out too much.

Anyhow i like the Blue Jays offensively. I just don't think hit elite pitching well. They rack up big numbers against lesser pitchers. Like i said the Jays are are solid club but its hard to pick them to win the division given the injury concerns of Drabek and Morrow.

sam diamond you also have to look at how guys project to improve not just previous years stats.

i expect JJ Hardy to hit for a higher average and i expect Manny Machado to have a break out year.

Oyyyy. You don't see transitive property in evaluating/handicapping hitters?

You take a guy like Manny Machado. Fuked up leg, and now he is bitching about his money---and you think he's going to be better this year, just because he's one year older?

Do you use BAPIP when you evaluate hitters?

I hate to break it to you Bear.. but hitters don't automatically improve year to year.

In your world-- every Baltimore hitter will be better this year.....

That is not going to happen.

Manny Machado will have a break out year if he stays healthy.

JJ Hardy and Matt Weiters i expect to hit for a higher average and cut back on K's.

Both capable of .280 or better with 25-30 HR's

    And there's the rub Bear.

I wouldn't bet one fuking cent on a future.

Not one. It's pissing away money.

There are too many variables----- injuries for one can trash a bet faster than anything.

I prefer to grind it out day-to-day in MLB. I can find my spots, and let my money work for me much easier than I can making a bet that will pay off at Thanksgiving.

Bear, since you're in US, I think you'll be limited to a 4K on a single payout with a certified check. Double check with Tony though.

and to SamOdom - they're good up to half a mil and not 1/4

3-1?! No way man, Balt not expected to do much this year.

bearer, you lost me when you mentioned Hardy. Guy will be on top of the world if he finishes higher than .255. He'll get you 25 homers and 80 RBI though.

yeah for some reason he doesnt hit for average but he's still a good #7 hitter.

    Hippo ,

Can you think of another 9 to 1 or better wager that has a better chance of hitting?

IMO Braun will have a good year.

He is a good ball player and he doesnt need PED's to have success.

I'm sure the guy is still in phenomenal shape.

who knows why he took them? maybe just being stupid and careless.

he's not that big. He is cut up sure and has 8 pack abbs. Reason i know, is that time he hit the home run and pulled his jersey up so you can see his stomach like The Situation always did on Jersey shore.

Braun is kind of a guido like that. A Jewish guido.

He wears affliction shirts to the club with Aaron Rodgers...

But now he has an even bigger chip on his shoulder and will be even more arrogant this season.

Those of you who have played the sport know how much confidence can do for a player.
I think that whole team has the attitude its us against the world. Look at the roster its full of
outcast who were disrespected by the media at some point in their career.

    Kyle Lohse
    Matt Garza
    Ryan Braun
    Carlos Gomez

all bad ass types w/massive chips on their shoulder. They got a lot of talent and may be a darkhorse to win the NL Central.
