    Cowboys release Demarcus Ware.

Hate to see him go. Class act all the way.

    Great guy, great player.

I just heard this nugget. Only one player has had more 15+ sack seasons than Ware. Reggie White. That's it.

I think this is one of those releases that works out for both teams.

Cowboys free up a lot of space to add maybe 2-3 guys.

Ware may get the chance to play on a title contender.

Normally Jones is a moron, but this was a good move.

Probably a decent fit as a specialist pass rusher in the right system still. Switching him to DE this past year took its toll on his body in a big way. Hopefully he comes back and breaks Rhomo in two for a new team. I dare say for this dipshit Franchise, it was a smart move if they stick with the same defense. He's not worth $16 million at this stage of his career, especially if he's banged up.

    Have you watched Ware?

Physically he is not anywhere close to being the player he was 2-3 years ago.

    He's had surgery after surgery.

He had just a handful of sacks last year.

This was the smartest move Jones has pulled off in a long time.

Now the tricky part for Cowboy fans. How to spend this money wisely.

There is still a chance he will be back.

The Dallas Morning News reports the Cowboys and free agent DeMarcus Ware have both left the door open for a new deal.

According to reporter David Moore, Ware will give the Cowboys a chance to match before he signs an offer in free agency. "DeMarcus and I agreed on an understanding that would allow him to explore the options he will have for the 2014 season and beyond," owner Jerry Jones said. "We were also in very strong agreement that playing for the Dallas Cowboys would be one of the options we would both be exploring." Ware has reportedly already received calls from "six playoff teams."

Great player, but his prime is in his past. Easy call to release him.

I think you and eagles phan would both make fabulous GM's.

Almost shocked that you guys chose a different career path.

Yet another example of the sheer eliteness of the posters we have here at SBR. Unreal.

Cowboys had no choice. They've got zero room under their salary cap.
