thanks for the heads up. one of my favorite players ever.

loved his gunslinger mentality on the court, dragged a team of bums on his back to the finals.

His career is somewhat disappointing given his lack of passion off the court. His game was the same when he got into the NBA until he left. I don't think improved at all.

Three quarters of the NBA don't have half the heart Iverson does

More players should watch film of him and learn to play like that

I had the pleasure of seeing Iverson in person...against the OKC Hornets.

If u really look at his game, he is one of the more selfish players in the nba. He takes a million shots to get his high scoring average. With all of the double teams he consistently faces, he should have more assists. Watching tape of iverson will only encourage players to shoot as much as possible.

Can't believe they didn't iron the jersey banner. Shit was all crinkled.

    Very unprofessional Philadelphia.

Please dude he played with a bunch of fukin bums most of his career. He basically started every game the same setting up guys and watching them trip over themselves trying to do something with the ball. Once a quarter went by he took over the game. Once in a great while he didn't have to cause his bums actually made a few shots.

Guy was run out of the league by Stern cause he wouldn't play Sterns game. Same thing going on with Westbrook now. Top Dogs in NBA are not gonna let their game get taken over by the thug type of a look. Someone needs to teach this to Westbrook or he will end up just like Iverson. Looking for a team when there is 20 shitty point guards on rosters yet Iverson couldn't make one. NBA collusion at its finest. If they want ya out they have the power to do it.

To be honest, I was pissed at the time when OKC got Seattle's team instead of New Orleans.

The OKC Hornets had Chris Paul, David West, JR Smith, Peja, and Chris Anderson.

I thought that team had a good young nucleus back then but after they moved back to NOLA they blew the team up.

Then KD and a bunch of high draft picks fell into OKC's lap.

Plenty of guys like Iverson. Matter of fact, 50% of the NBA would be in jail if it weren't for basketball, just like AI.

Whether you liked his game style or not, he was all heart.
95% of the monkeys in the NBA today have no heart.
He gave it his all every game, and never had shit on his team to help him out.
Billy King treated AI like a slave in Philly, as they never spent shit to help him out because the arena was sold out every game already to see him play.
Would have loved to see him win a ring.

Iverson couldn't play with another star. That's why they shipped out Jerry Stackhouse when they got iverson.

Look at the 2001 team. All role players but it worked because Iverson needed to take 30 shots a game.

A great player, but couldn't make any of his teammates better. Played with stackhouse, webber, Jim Jackson, dikembe, melo, igudala, and mckie, and didn't make a single one of those good players better, he killed their marvelous games!!!!!! Not many can do that, make good players worse.

Iverson in the sense of the word is not broke. Iverson has an account worth $35 million, a principal he is prohibited from touching until 55. In the meantime, it feeds him $1 million annually. At 45, Iverson is eligible to start drawing on an NBA pension that maxes out at 10 years of active duty, or take whatever’s there as lump sum. He will be entitled roughly to $8,000 per month ($800 per x 10).

If at all possible, Iverson will issue a restraining order against himself until he’s 62 or so. At that time, his lump sum will be between $1.5 million and $1.8million,or he can elect to take monthly checks of approximately $14,000 per .
