what does 'average scoring margin over last 25% of games played' mean exactly ?

Was looking at ESPN Hollinger Power Ratings and want another opinion. Thanks for any replies.

Seems to me that it would be some indication of recent form for that particular team.

For example the Clippers presently are showing a MAR (L25%) and below is the number +7.94. Is this the margin of points that they have been beating their opponents by ? http://espn.go.com/nba/hollinger/pow...10/order/false

[the total #of points a team has scored last 25 games- total # of points conceded last 25 games]/25

if total conceded is larger than total scored the number is negative.

It is kind of sad to see that this place has become a bone yard.

seemed there were always warring factions here on SBR between the sharps (mostly) in HTT and the unwashed masses every else on the site. and it is sad to see the current state of HTT. Evil def beat good on this one.

Actually, since the sharps just bet for a living while the unwashed masses actually have jobs, you could say that good beat evil.
