Constantly amazed by how much $$$ posters (purportedly) throw around on such a high-profile game.

I have $500 on it, which is a big bet for me, but only because I'm up huge in the NFL this year and it's still only 500 bucks in the grand scheme of things.

Super Bowl counts the same as every other bet. It's either one win or one loss. Posters act like getting it right = the holy grail or something, like their account will be filled with gold coins or the bet will make their bankroll increase tenfold just because it's a big game. I've never understood why people go off the deep end in games like this, when you could've bet Buffalo/Bowling Green today and it would've counted the same.

It's the fact that there's so much buildup to the game and it's the last football game of any kind for several months that make people go apeshit.

Not going to lie, I normally do that. Live betting is the way I'm going today.

As a % of my gambling bankoll, it's a decent chunk.

In my "real world," $500 isn't much at all. I just bet with a very small % of my disposable income.

I can't imagine having thousands on a Super Bowl, national championship game, etc. Just seems like people get swept up in how "big" the game is.

yeah i agree, not sure why people go nuts on super bowl.

most people i know that are betting today are upping their units at least by 5x.

but these guys only bet on football though, that could be the reason.

Lol. How is this the sharpest game?

I'd argue it's probably the least sharp game every year.

Only have $75 on it so far. Might make it bigger if the right signs show up before kick off.

No point in risking profits from the season on a coin flip.

    i would say though
if you like the broncos you might as well pick manning to win mvp instead and get him at + money.
pretty much zero shot the broncos win and he doesnt get mvp.

the last non qb to get it was holmes in super bowl XLIII and big ben probably should of got it then and before that was ward with the steelers. so besides the steelers look at the qb for mvp

One of the few posts that tell me that the poster actually knows what he/she is talking about. NEVER bet with your heart. ALWAYS bet with your head. Staying away from your favorite team is the way to do that. Spot on post. Good job.

Nothing sharp at all about this game truly. You can try and call yourself "sharp" all you want when all is said and done and make a case on either side. If Denver wins it's how did all you fools take Wilson ov the Sheriff? If Hags win it's defense wins championships and Peyton is a choker yada yada. Nothing big here for me either risking $135 to win $100 on Donkey Ml and may jump in live for some. Gl everyone!

It's true people go crazy over betting on "just another game" but these big public games can offer up value imo. Vegas is dealing a ML arb against offshore, how is that a sharp line?

I feel this is my best option, too.
Some of the alternate/adjusted lines look tempting.
Enjoy the game and good luck.

Right on.! I learned many, many years ago that just because it's the Super Bowl does not mean that it has to be ur " super" bet of the year. As it is with any sport, there are a whole lot more games through out the season that one can find better angles and reasons to bet a game than the final game of season.! Also for the newer bettors out there don't make the size of ur bet equal to the size of ur buzz.! Hope everyone has fun tonight and be safe.................................... ...gl

I tend to agree with this statement.

I understand people like to go crazy and put small amounts on all different types of props, which is fine, but a lot of people tend to throw away a lot of their profits trying to be a hero. A win is a win, regardless of the stage.

Regular $1,000 wager for me as well.

    if im playing anything though.

i'd probably take a long look at that under..

i know its a nice day in nj right now, but that stadium tends to get windy at times

denvers defense has been a bit underrated and seattles offense isnt anything special

and on the other side denver has a great o but seattles d should also be able to slow down broncos a bit.
