Aussiefalconfan,
I came across your post as it was next to my topic I just bumped.
I was in your position not a long time ago, I placed a bet of $25,000 on Obama to win the elections and won about $10,000:

Looking backwards that was the most worst thing I could have ever done.
Regardless whether you win or not, you are going to be in a major risk in the near future.
Yes, money needs to be spent, but not like this ...
I know you already placed a bet but if I were you I would "cancel" that bet by betting on the other team and losing $1k or so from the margin ... I hope you can do the same but if you can't please read more about how gambling can ruin your life, and it can ... betting like this is not ok, for anyone who is in this forum ... that is a huge risk and it won't stop there if you win, I can guarantee you that.
You can read more from my topic I posted about why I stopped betting:

Please do not listen to others encouraging you to take the bet or keep on betting, you are not in a good position if you are risking $15,000 on a Superbowl match which according to you you're not even going to see (you said you work 5am etc.) - please don't do it to yourself, I have nothing but pure intentions to encourage you to do that.
