It rarely does on home court. I always love it when the refs review plays to see if the player got it off 'in time' but never check to see if the clock started at the proper time....

I didn't care, as I had LA +9, but still.....

Didn't see the clock, but just based on the play he caught it went went right up, didn't seem like that should take more than 0.9. Think it was fine.

He caught the ball mid step, set with both feet and jumped up for a layup. I don't know if that can be done in .9 seconds.

0.9 seconds left and the guy catches the ball takes a step and lays it in. Thats what you call home court advantage.

How bout' the Grizzlies losing at home to a shit-road team in the Pelicans. Thank God for the Rockets who know how to play well at home in a necessary situation.

If you look at the first replay here (@ around 0:30) you can see the clock, and yeah it might start just a hair late but noooot much at all, maybe 0.1. He gets ii off at 0.3 so I believe it's good in any case. He went right up with it, no way that took a whole second.

But how about the play? Brilliantly designed and caught the Lakers totally off guard.

Yeah watching that replay at :28 you can see the clock starts when he comes to the floor from his jump stop, but he got the ball mid jump. I know it doesn't sound like much but we're talking .9 seconds here.

I see what you're saying, but I think there's always going to be a tiny lag between touch and start and I think it's incredibly minimal here and I think the basket's good in any case.
