    simple math question for 6 points

    I could figure this out on my own.. I'm just lazy..

    I'm not a pro anymore.. can I give points? I'll give my 6 points (woo!) to the first correct answer..

    I like Seattle to win the Superbowl (don't try and talk me out of it)

    5Dimes is offering these current odds:

    Seattle Seahawks +182

    Denver Broncos vs Seattle Seahawks +121

    New England Patriots vs Seattle Seahawks +361

    25415 Seattle beats Denver +319
    3:00PM 25416 Any other result -387


    25413 Seattle beats New England +584
    3:00PM 25414 Any other result -867


    I've got $2,000 that I want on Seattle to win... What makes the most sense mathematically? Do I get any better odds playing both Seattle beats Denver and Seattle beats New England... Rather just loading up all of it onto the +182 or does it work out the same? I do believe Seattle plays Denver and Seattle wins.. but I would hate loading up on that +319 and having New England beat out Denver this weekend...How Should I spread out the $2,000.

    Then underneath-- different odds.....

    Seattle beats Denver +319

    Seattle beats NE +584.

    Which odds are you referring to and I will give you the answer

    If you are convinced beyond reason that Seattle will win the Super Bowl--- don't try and figure out who they are playing

    Just bet Seattle to win the SB at +182

    No reason to fuk around with the NE-Denver game.

    1300 on Seattle beats Denver +319 gives you 3474 profit (4174-700 on the loss on the other bet)

    700 on Seattle beats New England +584 gives you 2788 profit (4088-1300 on the loss on the other bet)

    2000 on Seattle just winning in general +182 gives you 3640 profit

    Close enough?

    Seattle +181 is the best deal out of those options.

    Say Seattle plays Denver, well then you have a gain of 0.21 units (You take your 1.21 unit profit and subtract your 1 unit investment in Seattle vs New England). Now if New England plays Seattle, well than you have a gain of 2.61 units (You take your 3.61 unit profit and subtract your 1 unit investment in Seattle vs Denver). You could make more money on Seattle vs New England, but you are counting on yet another game to go your way (aside from the NFC Championship and the Super Bowl).

    And give the points to someone else, if you want. I could care less about the Betpoints.

    Wrong, the answer is 2000 on Seattle +182 for +3640

    Given what was typed above, you would only win 3447 with Seattle over Denver and 2788 with Seattle over NE

    And this may be speculation on my part, but if you like Denver to beat New England, you are probably better off just doing a Seattle ML parlay the next two weeks. If you like New England to upset, take the +182 Future with Seattle.

    makes sense. Thanks for your help.. I really like Seattle to win over Denver... so a part of me wants to load up on the +319 for roughly $1600 and let the $400 go on Seattle over New England for protection... but I think I think I'll just stick with the +182 for $2,000... or ML all in both Seattle games as you suggested..

    LT is right here so if you just like Seattle do the Future +182. If you happen to like Pats over Denver, you could split the $2000 evenly on Hawks vs either of the teams (+319, +584). You would stand to gain 4840 profit that way and would still win some in the event that Broncos make it and lose instead, 2190 profit.

    Depends how you like the games though.

    you think it is that bad for afc? then clearly seattle futures are the choice. i would say both afc teams are favored, but less than 3 pts over seattle.
