Hard to say. MSU is still struggling with its identity -- especially on the low blocks. Gary Harris starting to round into form, but his ankle is still an issue. Payne has struggled in the past few games. Ohio State hasn't been tested much. They have a good recent track record in East Lansing. I don't see how anyone could be that confident betting this one either way at this point in the season.

I don't know about that. Worst rebounding MSU team I've ever seen, and they're very erratic defensively (first half at Penn State for instance). This is one of Izzo's best overall shooting teams, but they lack the toughness and consistency that his elite squads have shown. He needs either Costello, Kaminski or Schilling to develop in a hurry and complement Payne on the low blocks. As it stands now, though, none of the three seem even close to being ready to do that.

I love Harris and I love Payne. I still feel for Appling because he's been forced to play the point his entire career and he's not a PG. But yeah, they benefit from his experience. Dawson's been good lately, but he has a limited skill set. He helps on the boards, but can't shoot at all.

Hard to get a true read on Ohio State, given who they've played so far. Like I said, though, they've played well at the Breslin Center in recent years. Will be interesting to see Craft against MSU's guards. Officiating, like usual, will dictate a lot.

Sadly I'm with wizzle on this one, Ohio state plus the points has to be the play, I don't see this conference game being a run away for either team. MSU has been exposed by NC earlier this year and has played some games closer than they should have been. I have been on their bandwagon all year and see them going far, they are a better all around team than OSU. I see MSU playing sloppy early in their toughest game so far, trailing at half, and coming back in the second half to win by 4.
