Auburn a 4 loss team in disguise

    4 point win mississipi state
    7 point win washington state

    8 point win ole miss

    4 pt win manziel

    5 pt win UGA

    6 pt win bama

thats six games they could have easily lost. they were picked 5th in the sec west preseason. that shows just how much talent they have there. on the other side NFL scouts drooling over FSU. Auburn just had a great little run, way over their heads now tho. if the game was 2 weeks ago they would have an outside chance but FSU is so well coached they will hold auburn u30 pts and auburn cant do that to them

    FSU 41-21

It's a young team that has improved every week. Not a great team but good enough to beat Bama and A&M on the road. They play a team that faced close to zero real competition and no one who could run the ball. Throw in the freshman QB and you got a game.

Long layoff might hurt Auburn. They were rolling with that cocky stride and momentum. Fsu prolly planned stopping Mason all month

Virtually every championship team needs some luck on the close ones. It's EXTREMELY rare for a team to dominate 14 opponents in one season.

Can anyone really justify the "freshman QB" angle at this point in the season? He stepped on to the field in Week 1 more prepared/competent than most other starting QBs in the FBS. At this point in the season he's probably better than all but a handful of other QBs. Auburn is certainly the toughest opponent he's faced to date, but I would be pretty surprised if he wasn't able to put up a competitive performance.

ppl thinking auburn isnt the luckiest fukin team in the nation

trust your gut and ask yourself this question?

could auburn win an 8 team playoff. of course not

    could FSU. of course

FSU is truly a great football team. the only question before the season was QB, and guess what, he won the heisman

FSU will lead this game 14-0

We are all taking Florida State -9, and Fuhrman, who used to set the lines for Caesar's Sportsbook, said that he cannot remember a game of this magnitude in which the public is so heavily backing the underdog, while the professionals are on the favorite (the public likes Auburn even more than it liked Notre Dame against Alabama). The public generally backs favorites, and the professionals usually like underdogs. When the scenario flips, which isn't often, is has historically been a bloodbath for the public.None of us like the Over, which is set at about 68 at most shops. Some like the Under, but perhaps not as much as the side.
i like florida state too, but it goes heavily against my never lay double digits in these late bowl games as teams are more evenly matched...we have seen how thats worked out. auburn has been getting luckier than lang hitting 42% and the lay off favors florida st because auburn loses momentum and timing for their offense. they ran the ball great against mizzou whose defense is nowhere near florida st. florida st has the speed and depth to deal with what auburn does best. if auburn cannot run the ball they will get blown out, slowly. i will not lay 10+ here but I like florida st for sure.

    AU OL > FSU DL
    AU DL > FSU OL

Having said that, I think this game is a blowout win for either team b/c of styles and how the game unfolds early. If you like AU, play the ML. If you like FSU lay the 10.

LOL - The party angle that everyone was chirping about last year with bama. FSU were partying all night while Auburn retired to their rooms early after church and a walk through.

Hilarious how everyone talks about "the public". Does anyone ever claim to being part of "the public"? Well who is this "public" you speak of?

These threads follow the same pattern. One guy says Underdog will roll...One guy says fave will roll...half of guys say they are so confident that dog will cover, and same with the fave.
Nice that this thread actually gives reasoning behind their opinion, but I don't feel any different now than before I read all this banter.
I think Auburn covers, but just a gamble. With the line where it is, half think one way and half think the other. The spread is where it should be...maybe at 9.

I dont think it means much if those guys were partying, its just like saying a team cant win because there not good in the cold weather.

Florida St. is the play for me.

Its also nowhere near Pasadena. Who exactly did you think you saw? and this will have 0 effect on the game by the way. Just curious.

auburn beat bammer and mizzou in must win situations to get here so theyve already essentially played in their playoff since both of those teams are as good as anyone else in the top 8 aside from maybe fsu

so what are you talking about?

    who cant they beat?
