Both have been doing great since the rumours

Clippers not trading Blake plus he is one of most marketable players in nba

There is no way in hell the Clippers would make that trade. Is Blake Griffen even a free agent after this year? Carmelo is a free agent.

I like to think the clippers powers that be are not that stupid ...seriously what are you going to win with Carmelo Anthony running his iso offense and playing matador defense?

Blake deal is till 2018 but he can opt out a year earlier. He signed a 5yr extension in 2012.

Just like Lakers are better without Bryant right? lol

Lakers would suck either way. Dantoni is a joke. And they were aging anyway. Who's their best player? Old man Gasol? Jodie Meeks? Lol. Aging and injury-prone Kobe?

Regardless of opinions in here, Melo is in his prime now and Griffin still isn't. Melo is a much better player than Griffin right now obviously. This is not debatable. It is fact. A guy like Melo won't fall off in the next 5 years because of his size and he is a 1 dribble pull up shooter kind of player. He's a beast, like Lebron, never gets injured.

Anthony also a clutch performer and never really played with any greats save for A.I. and that was towards the end of Iverson's career. Paul is the best PG in basketball and imo the smartest player in the game today. He would know how to utilize a player like Carmello.

Obv Melo for Griffin straight up would be good for both teams assuming Anthony leaves NY for FA next year and they get nothing.

Anthony and Paul duo makes the Clippers an instant favor to win the west. (Obv both have to be healthy entering playoffs).

Bryant's not injury prone. He'll be back in a couple weeks and you will see the drastic difference in this team. Right now they are playing without a leader. They have no clue how to play half court ball either. Bryant will fix both those things.

Lol take notes kid. Griffin has been shut down in the playoffs every year in crunch moments. And that's with him getting 1 on 1 looks. Melo on the contrary is widely considered one of the top 7 players in the nba (among nba players -- and those are the opinions that matter).

    Chris Paul makes Griffin.

Stats don't mean anything. Listen and take notes. Playoff basketball is about being able to win your 1 on 1 battles. Griffin is a soft player right now. I'm sure he will blossom into a superstar in a couple years but he's not there right now. Anthony was the leading scorer on team USA. For a team with all that talent...enough said. Anthony is a proven player in the NBA, and if you were to ask 100 NBA players who is better Griffin or Anthony all 100 would say Anthony.

What matters is your reputation among nba players, not fans. You realize how long it takes coaches to game plan for Anthony versus game planning for Griffin? lol. Yeah....

Don't bother Goat, these fools don't even watch NBA. Same guys who will hate on the product but have such a strong opinion about something they know nothing about.

Melo is probably only better stat wise. Because of all the bricks he takes and sometimes makes:

Clutch performer??? Someone is spiking your milk.

two regular season division titles with the nuggets and had the worst playoff record of all time as a player. He also shoots 41% lifetime in playoffs. His stellar 7-7 playoff record with the Knicks has elevated his lifetime playoff record to 23-42. A very clutch 35% LOL

Is that why Blake's numbers have gone up with Paul out of the line up??

Blake Griffin is a guy that came into the league so overhyped that he was widely overrated and people started to hate him for this. Now the opinion is that he is so overrated that people do not think he is good and then he becomes underrated. He is growing offensively and I will never understand criticizing him for his dunks. If players can dunk, they should. Its the highest percentage shot in the game. He is adding a jump shot and post moves to his game while being efficient and improving at the FT line. He is shooting above 70% this year from the line. He is a great passer as well.

And someone made an argument about steals and blocks determining how good a defensive player is and that is a ridiculous notion. Blake Griffin is a growing player. His first two years, the team defense was better when he was off the floor. This year, they are better when he is on the floor. Carmelo Anthony is notorious for being a lazy defensive player. I think this is his first year where his team is better defensively when he is on the court rather than off and I am guessing that is only due to having many injuries and an overall bad defensive team.

This would be a colossal mistake for the Clippers, not that it is going to happen. Gimme the young gun that is growing his game and has not reached his true potential and is 5 years younger. We know what we have in Carmelo Anthony. A volume scorer.
