He's getting close, but not yet. Give me MJ, Bird, Magic, Kareem and Wilt.......with Russell and Robertson just behind.

Lebron's body mass and raw talent combined makes him unlike any other player in history.

Despite tick tack foul calls....he would be unstoppable in one on one.

I agree with this, especially with WOULD be unstoppable. Due to his body mass and raw talent, he has the potential to be the greatest...but until he he uses it to be unstoppable, all the time, he isnt. I realize he is a good team player, so he he doesn't try to dominate because he trusts his teammates, but give Kobe lebron's physical ability with Kobe's skill(in his prime), Kobe would have broken every single record, period.

Lebron is the best player in the history of sports. When football season is over we can all watch ESPN pathetic highlights of him and their drive to help the NBA make the same kind of money they did when Jordan was hot. I always wondered what Jordan thought when he watches Lebron brick a shot down the stretch.

Jordan said: " In my prime, there is no way he could beat me" Period. LBJ reply's: "He said that "....LOL we will never see the match....

Here are the top 5 I have seen play. Can't rank guys from 50's 60's and 70's

    Jordan, Lebron, Magic, Bird, Shaq

I would put Kobe in there but I don't like him

He will be by the time his career's over, but not yet. I have him at third greatest of all time amongst active players behind Bryant and Duncan currently.

That's because he played against scrubs all his life who lacked athleticism. Just look at all the SG's from that era.

As soon as he lost his explosiveness he was just another 40% chucker in a game which he could never dominate.

LeBron just out niggers niggers if you can understand that.

He's been in the group where specific number next to his name doesn't matter. The true tier of greatness that are reserved for the MJs and Kareems and Wilts of the game.

Trying to argue or debate who the greater individual talent, is as useful as far as it is fun.

these lists are always just the latest players
no one really knows how good kareem and wilt would be now, but i'm sure they'd be better than kobe
lebron plays defense and is pretty damn amazing, although i am not good at ranking i'd put him up there near the top

He could very well wind up being the leading scorer of all time given his head start right out of HS. He will be top 5 for sure there barring major injury.

I can't believe how many people have Shaq in their top five.

I would take Olajuwon over him.

    I wouldn't go that far.

I don't think he's in the top five of all-time, but he's definitely ahead of Shaq.

He is the GOAT the way he played last year and is playing this season

Obviously he isn't as accomplished as some guys yet, but his talent/projections I would put him as a top 3 guy

Guys who post ITT thread and put crazy things like shaq in top 5 are showing their age.

Agree about hakeem the dream being on par with shaq, he had insane footwork, but neither is in the top ten never mind top 5 all time.
