In fact, his drafting was another big reason he was criticized so much. 2000 he drafts Corey Simon 6th (urlacher to bears 9th). 2001 Freddie Mitchell 25th (Reggie Wayne 30th to colts). 2002 lito Shepard 26th (not bad). 2003 Jerome mcdougle 15th (polamalu 16th to Pitts). 2004 Shawn Andrews. 2005 mike Patterson. 2006 Broderick Buckley. 2007 none (took Kevin kolb early in rd 2). I could go on & on

Reid obviously wasnt great at the draft picking as youve proven, but he did have pretty good teams for a number of years, his system was getting old though obviously.

    hey serious ? for you-
What do the lines in GB , saints, KC games this week have in common-they are all fishy--
Indy may very well win & SF & philly but in each case the favorite is (going by this forum) so much better than their opponent all the favorites are gifts.
SF 12-4 has beaten GB(8-7-1) 3 out of last 4 & all you get -2.5 ,Indy as demonstrated by you & others are clearly far superior to KC & yet all you lay is 2.5 & last a philly team on a huge roll playing bad road & poor cold weather team in the N.O. saints & yet all you lay is 2.5-HMM all this free money the books will just give away amazing

For anyone playing the line is mysteriously low angle I kind of agree was expecting an opener in -3.5/4.5 range and possible closing as high as 6 here. But just looked this morning and there are plenty of suckerfish out there almost 70% of Ml tickets coming in on Kc. Just an fyi for Vegas conspiracy guys.

It's definitely a head scratcher--looks like taking sf.pilly & indy should actually be the 3 plays simply because they are in the right situation vs public favorites(actual dogs).

I like all 3 of those Dave and leaning Diego with pts. Frisco gm is really the one that's bugging me though. My head says Sf wins gm but my gut is saying different hmmm. I always end up doing a pleaser so I will roll with Pack in that for sure.

because they lost as a WC on the road to the eventual SB Champs last year?

and if they lose to a team that started out 9-0 while not having his #1 WR Wayne & a loser T-Rich...bad O-line? Only half reliable targets are still Hilton & Fleener. Easy to focus on them and slow the Colts offense down a ton if you're a good defensive team.

you are a joke, Luck has as many wins in his first 2 years as Big Ben did in 04/05 with those great Steeler teams. different coaches, different systems each year... defensive scheme in its first year last year and playing with a ton of other rookies last year on offense. still was a WC playoff team.

you have also said before you think Luck is a winner and will win more than 1 Super Bowl

now you say will be a new Manning? you are a joke... you like to cover every possible outcome in every situation in sports if possible

I agree, comparing last year's Ravens to KC is very stupid. Ravens were a fluke FG away from the SB one year prior.

i think chiefs take this luck is a great qb but he can't do it all by himself, their wr are average since wayne got injured and they have no running game, defence is good but luck needs better wr and i don't think they can run it on kc luck is going to to need to have a huge game

Rookie QB on the road vs. Ray Lewis' defense in his last home game. It was an easy play. Public got buried on that game. I understand you're a Colts fan but you could see that was a bad spot for them.

True, but he's only had 2 WC road games, so 1-1 isn't bad. The title of the thread is just a tad inaccurate, that Reid is gonna get bitch slapped in the 1st round AGAIN, when he's actually been very successful in the 1st round.

Well, I'll let you take all that up with Benny. My argument is that evidence for KC pulling this out is thin and lacking.

Andy just isn't a good, "making adjustments" coach plain & simple. KC snuck up on a lot of teams and had last place schedule. Teams adjusted, Andy didn't, hence the record down the stretch
The record down the stretch, and the collapse of their D was largely because they played without their best D player, and one of the top 5 in the NFL, in Justin Houston. He's back for this game. When Hali and Houston were healthy, their D was real good. Without them, not so good.
Last place schedules are pretty meaningless now, as all teams in a division have 6 division games and 8 identical games. KC played the same schedule as Denver and SD, except for 2 games.

Balt was 1-4, Indy was 4-1 going into the playoffs last year. I think this game comes down to Luck. Is his edge over Smith at QB enough to overcome KC's talent edge overall? I think not, and think Charles on turf will be the key factor, but it's far from a sure thing either way, IMO.

Smith sucks, but can manage the game. If you need him to win a game with his arm though, good luck. Not gonna get you there most of the time.
Luck can tilt off and make bad decisions repetitively. Still young obv, he will get better over time.
I dunno how much of an edge Luck has really, although he has been pretty huge in 4th q comebacks and drives.

    Doesn't matter, Colts will win.

IND's home win over DEN earlier this year showed me something I didn't expect. IND's crowd can effect a big game. In the old days, IND fans seemed clueless and maybe apathetic as evidenced in their home playoff loss to PIT in 2005 when there was more PIT fans making noise than IND fans. But in that DEN game, IND fans seemed to know when to get loud on defense and when to quiet down to let Luck call the plays on offense. IND's crowd seems to have really matured over the years, carefully protecting their young QB as much as they can. Just throwing this out there to see if anyone else want to chime in on this.
