So, what exactly are you thanking god for? Then why?

To do so, you are discounting the fact.

There is enough money in the world to shelter every human. Does God cause poverty or do humans?

Why do Christians think that everyone needs a god to be scared of in order to be a good person? I'm living my life as if there is no God, but that doesn't make me an asshole. It is possible to be a good person simply because, you know, it's the right thing to do.

Well, the message really stuck with this one.

Did you own a McGruff Crime Dog figurine as well? Did you help take that bite out of crime?

If you need the possibility of the punishment of hell to be a good person, realize you aren't a good person.

    Take some goddamn self-responsibility.

Hey Chalky.......I like you and all.....but go fukk yourself. Ok, pal? And maybe get over yourself while you're at it?

Are you really the one to determine who is or isn't a "good person"?

And FYI.....my post is a quote from Nobel prize winning author, journalist, and philosopher Albert Camus. Its one I learned long ago. I thought someone as erudite as yourself would certainly know this. My apologies.

No, I will not go fukk myself on this issue.

About 6 months ago I stopped being OK with people who believe in god. I am approaching this subject as aggressive as asshats trying to sell religion. People who believe in god are on the same level as those who believe in Magic, Witches and other loony ass shit.

I am familiar with the quote, as it is spouted by every moron trying to justify not only believing in bullshit, but acting on it.

Here's a quote from a person the Republicans have adopted as their own:

"The irrational is the impossible; it is that which contradicts the facts of reality; facts cannot be altered by a wish, but they can destroy the wisher." | The Virtue of Selfishness - Ayn Rand.

Bottom line, God is a terrible thing to put over ones self.

Also, I came at you for 2 reasons: 1) You teed me up 2) Your e-peen is big enough to take it.

Point being, if you want to believe in god, and you express this belief publicly - fine. Just expect to be treated like an adult who believes in magic/tooth fairies and other human creations.

The idea of god is a cancer to the human condition.

People are by nature toooo afraid to look into self for answers.......

So they look outside self for answers...........

God would be the one to look for these answers, not that he exists, but because GOD is never WRONG in all religions.....

This way man never has to face himself or shortcomings.........

Chalky on a mission. Sort of nice to see two intelligent people go back and forth here for once, doesn't happen very often.

Religion has caused more death on this planet than anything else and that is indisputable.

To each his own though, if God makes someone happier, friendlier, and an overall better person then I'm all for it, just not my thing.

The core religions of the world all are based on the existence of a higher power, so they get intermixed easily in a conversation like this.

    When in reality

Religion doesn't need a God, but God needs a religion.
