    local book

i have a friend who might start up a local book and wanted me to ask some questions

is it bad if he has like 1 or 2 clients? shouldn't you have volume so you don't get buried?

books try to balance both sides of the bet...I'm not sure how your pal would do that just with 2 clients

2 clients, what sense does that even make

If he is even asking the question it's time to tell him to get out of gambling busyness.

if he has 2 clients, and they dont bet each others games, he can always extra juice them and balance it on a offshore account

this balancing stuff is all bs. guys betting with locals in this day and age are going to be on the public side almost always. just make sure he is able to collect and has the bank to pay out.
