It's the new rules. Which game are you bitching about specifically?

Watch a few PAC-12 games this year, offense will be putting up points without the handchecking bullshit initiative.

I got the under in West VA vs V-Tech

There has been a foul call on every single missed lay up

The main reason why I prefer college over the NBA is because they actually let them play. Less foul calls, a little more contact and letting guys take it to the rim. I hope it doesn't turn into calls every second.

It does make it tough to watch but these kids need to learn how to play defense the right way eventually. Overs are the way to go.

It's going to be even more frustrating when these guys get to March.

    For example:

PAC-12 refs wont call the handchecking the players are used to getting, and many will be pissed off as a result.
PAC-12 teams will be getting a lot more handchecking calls than they're used to and have to be able to adapt.

The rule change was unnecessary and an overreaction to last season. It is artificially raising the points on the scoreboard while sacrificing the play of the game.

If you are a conspiracy guy, this handchecking rule is akin to holding in football. It leaves it up to the refs to decide the game whenever they want/need.

Giving a ref discretion is always going to cost someone a game.

Very true, it's the same with the Big East in the past going into the tourney. Teams got away with murder during the year (sPitt) then drop out early in the tourney because that stuff finally gets called. It's tough, I understand what you're saying in that it's sacrificing the play of the game but at the same time, I think the game needs to be played the way it should be and these teams shouldn't get away with this crap anymore. I'm all for streetball rules, minimal fouls but if we're gonna do it by the book than teach these kids that they have to play defense with their feet not their hands.

I do look forward to the complaining this year. Luckily my team sits back in a zone and these rules benefit them immensely.

There might be 100 FTA in this Baylor game, in fact it should go over that easily. 47 so far and there's already been plenty of fouls at the start of the second.
