This is the 2nd of back to back road conference games for the Cajuns. Ark. St. is prohibitevly better than W.KY. and I like the new coaching staff. The first game of the yr (playing Pine-Bluff) was a write in game. Probably should have been my play of the yr(had 4 units on it and should have had 20) as the line opened at 26.5 and by game time had steamed all the way to 35. 63-0 winner. The next week(week 2) they had to take the huge step up in class (Arkansas) and got beaten soundly. Turnabout was fairplay. As Jeff Grant pointed out in his writeup, Red Wolves 14-1 SU and 10-5 ats last 15 @ home.

A few players to keep an eye out for tonight. Davis the Kicker for Arkansas State will play a key role in tonights game. As well as the "Big 3" that have come along since last weeks change to the Offensive play calling. GL. My Pick: Arkansas State Side.....No total.

Im on the over. I think Arkansas State might have a slight edge through the air as Kennedy has seen tougher looks from SEC schools and done quite well. Bear in mind Arkansas State is more balanced than their stats dictate. If you discount their first game of the season (where they ran 53 times for 500+ yads and 5 TDs) they have a pretty even number of run plays and pass plays and an equal number of TDs each. I dont particulaly think home field means a whole lot since Kennedy has a better completion pct on the road (and his completion pct against teams in the top 25 is even higher than that!). If Ark St throws in the manner I think they will, Broadway will have to air it out also. He was throwing quite well prior to the WKU game, accounting for half of his seasons passing yardage and 2/3 of his touchdowns in the previous 2 competitions.

LT, who has Arky State stopped this year from running the ball? They were embarrassed by Memphis and basically everyone else on the ground. Hate to go against a team with longer prep time, but Arky State will be able to run at will. Giving less than a FG seems too easy to me.

Did you just say Ark State is better than WKU???? LMAO, are you serious? WKU has drastically underachieved but they are still way better than this group of turds

By "everybody else", you mean Missouri and Auburn, so three teams from BCS conferences on the road. Look how they have done vs. the run at home, including their only conference game vs. Troy. Anywho, I ended up passing on the game so Good Luck.

Thing that stands out to me is that the only rushing attack they've stopped is Troy who ALSO couldn't run on South Alabama or Duke (under 3.7 YPC in both games)

Also, on a per rush basis. Idaho outrushed Arky State 4.6 to 4.2 on the road

I think they are in a great spot but the defense is worrisome. They've had 10 days off to prepare and are the home pup on a tv game. Ya never know.

I think ull found something in the 2h last week vs wky. Running the ball with a big back behind a big ol with a qb that can pull and run when needed. They didn't have I throw the ball and were racking up 10+ play drives. I expect much of the same tonight. If there D can hold the big plays down and keep the arst O off the field, they should win easily. This team has clicked since the end of last season.

Midweek games are usually easy unders when teams are on short rest. We've got one team playing on a week and the other on 10 days. Kennedy has passed for above 70% against two SEC teams, and while they dont have the best secondaries in the SEC, they have better secondaries than LaLa. Prior to WKU, broadway accounted for 7 TD passes and 660+ passing yards and 73% completion percentage in 2 games.

not sure I've seen the actual stats to back up that logical claim but I would concur. The guy passed so well because the game was out of reach against Auburn. I can't explain the Missouri game other than the fact that Missouri "overlooked" them and finally woke up in the 4th quarter to take care of business. The Missouri game just doesn't "fit" with the rest of Arky State's season to me.
