The first series play I like the most is gonna be a lotta wood, but I don't see how the Cards can lose a series to Pitts here. -156 was the line I finally dropped the bomb on.
Coming off having both winners the last 2 days, Rays and Pee-rats, I'm looking forward to knocking this shit out in the playoffs this year in MLB.
My play here is simple:
I am not a believer in the Pirates AT ALL.
IMO, the top 3 overachieving teams in MLB were Cleve, Pitts, and KC.
They all had good seasons, but I don't look at them as contenders.
Pitts has streaky pitching and hitting. Nothing is really consistent. And when they go cold, it's REALLY COLD.
Basically no playoff experience other than Burnett and Martin.
I hate to use the "lack of experience label" on teams because it's over used and overrated, but I honestly think the Pirates will not perform well offensively this series.
Cards are scrappy. They score runs in every way possible.
They hit the shit out of the ball with RISP. THEY ARE A CLUTCH TEAM
I like their rotation vs. the Pirates. Wacha may be a gamble to throw out there but hopefully by game 4 they are playing for a sweep.
Rosenthal is where he is supposed to be now, which I called all year would happen, and that's closing.
Cards have the experience.
Let's not forget Beltran's playoff numbers.
So many guys in this lineup can take over in these playoffs. It's not just one or 2 guys like Pitts offense.
I love their lineup, I feel they haven't hit their ultimate stride yet, and are probably the best all-around team in MLB if it isn't the Dodgers.
I just think Cards are built for the playoffs as good as anyone. I think they underachieved this season, even winning the division. I feel like they are even better than their record shows.
This feels like a free one in the first round boys, I suggest jamming the shit out of this, along with Grenke in game 2 in that other series.
Lets get the cash guys.
CARDINALS SERIES -156
Had a great month of football, and looking to slap the shit out of these MLB playoffs and finishing the year strong.
