UCF plays in a big aluminum heat box that sways back and forth every time people jump up and down. Hopefully the fan base will take a break from going to the Gator and Nole games to show up to this one. UCF has literally given away free tickets to games before and haven't been able to sell out.

This isn't Vandy or Mississippi State coming into town. This is a legit top 10 team. South Carolina's defense looked "bad" against Georgia, but in case you haven't noticed Georgia is going to make a lot of defenses look bad this year.

Speaking of bad, Louisville needs UCF to win bad. Any prayer of them getting a marque game this season is going to have to come against UCF.

UCF keeps it close, but in the 2nd half SoCo's depth will win them the game. This line tells me they'd be about a 2 TD fave in Columbia, which sounds about right.

SCAR dominated Vanderbilt 2 weeks ago and went out to a 28-0 lead.....A few flukey turnovers and lackluster effort in the 2nd half made the game seem closer than it was IMO

The SCAR defense is not as good as years past due to inexperience and starting a few freshman.....but their offense is pretty solid. Mike Davis is a stud at RB
i dont have an opinion on this game since i havent seen ucf but i dont think sc will have much of a pass rush vs a hurry up offense as i dont think they have much cardio.

Not at all, I just know those UCF Fans would be louder with a full day of tailgating.

Some people are making me think 1h might be a better option...

But no way I'm passing up 7 points at home with that offense...

Why not attempt a middle? Grab SC -7 (or bite the bullet and buy to -6.5) and grab UCF after money moves it to 10 hopefully. You know the public will hammer the sh!t out of the Cocks (pun intended).

I'm a UCF grad so I can atest to that being 100% truth. It's sad, really. There is mediocre interest in football at BEST. Aside from the Texas game years back when the stadium opened (and we damn near beat them) and a conf title game against Tulsa, it's a so-so HFA.

Unfort, what usually happens - A)the mall (tailgating area) gets people TOO hammered to even show up, or B)if they DO - uncomfortably hot combined with drunk = they leave half way through if there is the slightest look that the team will lose.

It really would help Louisville if they can pull of the upset.

    Set the line

It would help ufc only if they can beat ufc...i don't see it happening.

Hot and humid is early forecast...depth comes into it. Pedd State was torching CF secondary, dont know if they can hang all game. CF lack of dline pressure without blitz also concern. Fun game all around...Storm Johnson was bigtime recruit dont forget, big stage for him. CF was missing starting linebacker ,suspension , and starting LT,injury, vs PS, both are back starting this weekend. Zero sacks given up vs PS,hard to believe.

OP, the answer to your question is no, no UCF cannot beat South Carolina. I will take SC and their minus points here easy.

First post newbie here. Lurker this season thus far. The one thing I keep going back to on this game is how Spurrier and SC have recently dominated teams from mid tier conferences. I like Bortles and UCF, just think they are going to be outclassed here. Should be Clowneys coming out party for 2013.

LK i'm starting to sway to the other side as well. Just thinking about SC getting rest as well and preparing for an offense they have already seen once. They can look at their own tape against UNC and know how to prepare for this one. Would be different if they hadn't faced that type of offense already, not used to it yet. I'm on the fence now.

Like threads like this though, lots of good takes on both sides.

South Carolina is an SEC team. if anything, any SEC team is more disciplined than any other conference. They will get shuteye at 10 PM at a hotel nearby.

    Here is the Akron game

    http://espn.go.com/watchespn/player/...ize/condensed/

I have other links if you can't find 'em...

I dvr alot of games and watch them during week

And Both teams have extended time to prepare.

I think BB quick spread passing attack will neutralize that USC front

Sorta like the Marshall angle against VA Tech last week

Football is all about the QB. Bortles will be a top NFL draft pick, plus UCF have 2 stud receivers. UCF's offense is better than USC's and their defense isn't that bad going up against an ADHD USC offense. I smell an upset here...

SC defense looked bad against UNC but UNC was rusty. Numerous dropped passes. Should have been closer to 500 yards of offense.

SC will take cover here as they are well-tested on the road and will be focused on handling business. UCF is a solid blue-collar football team with a QB that has the arm but they will struggle against a loaded SEC team that will look to get aggressive with the front seven pressuring the QB and that wont work well for Bortles. Look for Clowney and co. to get back to making plays on defense and come up with one of the better efforts of the year on that side of the ball. Shaw should have ease moving the ball with his dual threat ability against UCF D that is facing real test of the season. Gamecocks come out swinging and pull away eventually winning by double digits. SC-6.5 is the play.
