Quick quiz fellas.
Which lefty has a 2.51 ERA (not to shabby) a stellar 1.07 WH/IP ratio, and strikes out a batter an inning? But only has a 3-4 record because he's a spot starter / long reliever?
Bzzzz. Time's up
Tom Gorzelanny, who is coming of a seven inning, scoreless effort, yielding just 3 hits, striking out seven.
OK, so it was the Mariners, but still.
Start before that he really pissed me off (not his fault) he was my dark fantasy sleeper, and you could just tell after the first inning, he had it all going on, gets hit in the elbow with a liner, never sees the second inning end.
Pissed I tell ya
Any-hoo, Jay Bruce likes to hit Gorzo, but that's all. The dugout overall is 23 for 104, that's not very good, (.221) but here's the thing, (it's always something, isn't it?) Jay Bruce really, really likes to hit Gorzo, 5 for 12, 3 of the hits were ding-dongs, and 5 walks, that's a .558 OBA. But nobody else hits him.
Votto is 3 for 20, Brandon Phillips is 5 for 25, the lefty has a spell on them, and I don't care what some people say, there are hitters in this league, that just can't certain pitchers, this Red team, save Bruce, can not hit this pitcher.
Tell me you see that you don't like?
His last seven appearances, all starts, are solid. (this is as a starter/long reliever

Mike Leake's numbers are comparable, niot knocking him, but if you pay attention to Nashy, when he's not losing his mind, is I look for + money in coin flips.
Brews are sitting right now, at home, +120.
This is an even up money propostion from whre I sit, and I like both home bow-wows, and + money in even up propositions.
