If Johnny Football misses the Bama game, the Tide's schedule is a laugher

The schedule was already looking a little soft, now if Johnny Manziel misses the Alabama game it's pretty weak. If the team from the SEC East comes in the SEC CG with two losses and two of Ohio State, Clemson/FSU, Oklahoma/Okla St, & Oregon/Stanford run the table, does Bama really deserve to be in the title game based on their body of work? Yea...they'll get in there anyway.

    I don't know 'bout that.

A&M may get nervous playing Manziel, if they learn he took cash.

And, I'm guessing if the kid took cash from one broker. He took cash from other brokers.

For the right amount of money, these guys will start to sing. It's what brought down Reggie Bush.

The schedule was a joke WITH A&M. This changes very little. What happens is if Alabama loses a game and defeats A&M if Manziel does NOT play agaist them, then they go to the bottom of the heap and have to run the table. This schedule is an embarrasement.

It won't be a competitive game regardless of whether Manziel plays or not. From a pre-season perspective, that game will be my biggest wager of the year. I just hope Manziel plays so he doesn't screw up my wager. I may "Max Bet" that game at 2 books.

You missed the part about more than likely Texas AM sits him.... They can sing all they want its hard to prove anything if he only took cash Reggie was way different him and his family where getting all kinds of traceable shit. The memorablilia scene is kinda shady anyways I wouldn't take take anything but cash from those jokers.

Tennessee is Alabama's permanent opponent in the East. They play every season.

Completely agree that the SEC should go to a 9-game schedule like other conferences. Of the 14 SEC coaches, Saban was the only one to vote for a 9-game schedule.

I think it would depend on how they look on the field. If they look like the best team in the country and win the conference, they probably get in no matter the schedule strength. Regardless that schedule isn't as laughable as Louisville's.

SEC should go with a 9 game schedule and get rid of the permanent cross over game even if they stick with 8......Only real rivalries are UGA-Auburn and Tenn-Bama within that.......Those teams can schedule eachother as "non-conference" games in the years they aren't matched up in SEC play

But that would be too easy

Bama's schedule is soft, but every year around week 8 it looks like there could be 4 or so undefeated teams. Most teams usually loose at some point. I wouldn't worry about so many teams running the table.. especially after conference championships.

A&M will not play Manziel until the NCAA O.K's the move. They do not want to risk having to forfeit a bunch of games. Vegas has taken all of the A&M games off the board for now, until this Manziel thing is laid to rest. The NCAA has him hung. Let's see what the NCAA does to him. The evidence is pretty overwhelming.

Explain to me how NCAA holds him out without proof he took money sounds like johhny took cash and there isn't a video of him taking the cash out YET. Can't sit this kid on the words of a bunch of memorabilia dealers have you seen many of these guys? We all know he did it but can they prove it going to hard unless there's a pic or video floating around

If they went with a 9-game schedule, they could keep the permanent rivalry games. If they keep the 8-game schedule, then making the rivalry games non-conference games would make a lot of sense.

This might be the end for Manziel. I will be extremely disappointed if that is so. It would be a huge blow for college football IMO.

Broker says Manziel was paid $7,500

Colleges want home games. They bring in money for the University and the local economy. Going to 9 game schedule makes having 7 home games more difficult.

You think out of conference games are bad now, wait until there's 9 SEC conference games. You will never see home and homes like Oregon/UT, Alabama/Penn St, Georgia/Clemson, LSU/WV again.

Cam gets paid 250k to attend Auburn and nothing happens. Manziel gets 5 figures to sign autographs and nothing will happen. AJ Green sells his Liberty Bowl jersey on Ebay for $1,000 and gets 4 games. NCAA is fukked up

The only times games like that would be possible to schedule is in week 1 - possibly week 2. Once conference plays begins, games like that become impossible to schedule. That's why teams that play in lesser football classifications are scheduled in-season. The big boys schedule them primarily because they are the only teams that are available to play. The little guys like it because it gives them a huge payday, which helps fund their sports programs through the year.

I said "might." It sure doesn't looked good for Johnny football right now, that's for sure. Personally I hope all this blows over and he gets to play. Him not playing this season would be a terrible end result.
