This is the first time this A's bunch has felt some pressure and heard the footsteps coming in the background. Last year they were in 2nd place all year before taking the division on the last day. They played with house money all year last year with no expectations and felt no pressure. This year they once again got no respect and were in 2nd place for all of April/May before taking over in June, and did not lose any ground to Texas all of June and most of July. This is the first time in 2 years the Rangers have gained ground on the A's with the A's in first place. Rangers have cut lead from 6 games to 2.5 games in the past 4 days. Roles are reversed with A's feeling the pressure/heat now and Rangers with the confidence that they can get it done. Not sure if this young A's team knows how to deal with this pressure and heat the Rangers are applying to them. Which is why I like Texas with Garza in this spot.
