Saturdays just continue to be my worst day of the week every year in MLB.
I cannot explain it.
There is no answer.
2nd day in a row I don't like the card. But this isn't uncommon the first week back after the break.
Gonna go on a hunch and against the grain here.
Royals +168 with my rage-boy Guthrie.
Verlander completely owns the Royals. 15-2 career record vs. them.
Guthrie has given up the most hr's in MLB I believe. If he's not the leader, he's damn close.
He is a meatball king with good stuff who battles. Most guys who give up as many hr's as he does can't keep a job but he somehow is a decent #2 or 3 starter. I love watching him out there because he tilts so easily. Big-time competitor. Always good for a gatorade bucket slam or bat attack on it once a year.
Let's see if he can keep the ball in the park today and give his team a chance.
I'll take the HUGE plus money at home on an average team here against Verlander who has only shown his Cy Young form one or 2 times so far this year. Royals usually battle the tigers pretty good in the past, don't know their record vs. them this year though.
Taking it easy betting outta the gate the 2nd half, waiting until teams/pitchers settle in for 6 or 7 days and start showing trends of what they may do the 2nd half of the season.
Still think the Pirates are THE best 2nd half fade team and the Phils and Marlins will be the best profiting teams to bet on.
ROYALS +168 RAGEBOYYYY GUTHRIE
