    How small time am I?

Opening myself up to all sorts of punishment here but, I was looking through my bet365 account & searching my completed plays for louisville info. I have 4 parlays alive tomorrow with KY-6.5 KY-7 KY-7 & KY -16.
Anyway I noticed that I could search as far back as 3 months. Since the Selection Show on Sunday night I have wagered $3,783.72. In my 5Dimes account I have wagered $380.10 & I have foolishly spent just over $100 on Proline. Now, obviously I haven't lost every bet so that accounts for some of my wins as well but, the bottom line is I have these four parlays to get me through the final four & they pay a total of $150 for $17 in bets, if I hit all of them. I have already hedged for $8 on Louisville +7.5.
I have just bought a house with my wife & now truly realize what it like to actually be broke.
I went to Vegas twice last year & won both times for a total of $1,000.00 combined. I hope to go twice again this year.
I have claimed to be a professional gambler for the past 14-15 years. I have also been aware that I am not a very good professional gambler. I have had to borrrow money from my wife & I have had to go to work at an office or call center 3 times since I left my steady job dealing at the casino in 2001.
Before I worked at the casino I worked part time at the Parliment Building in Ottawa and lived off a $2700 gambling BR for nearly 10 months.
I started gamblling in the 1970's when I was 6 years old. Back then you could bring pretty well bring anyone to the track (not as much regulation) & one day I watched this kid dig through the garbages and pull out programs thrown out by the early losers that day & he'd sell them to people just showing up. I finally figured why this kid always had arcade money so when my Dad & I would go the track & that kid wasn't there I'd sell the old programs. Averaged $.25-$.50 per program. One time I showed my Dad the $7 I had made that day & told him "Ii be in the arcade until he wanted to leave."
HE responds "Why don't you bet it?"
I don't think it was any greater a decision then, as it is now. I looked out to the track & I still remember the name of the driver to this day because of course...
    I Won.

I forget what I was talking about there but, point is, I haven't had a steady job for nearly 11 years and even then I only lasted 2 years at the casino. I have gambled just enough to stay alive & work as little as possible.
I've won as much as $4000 in a weekend & have wagered over $5000 in one night. Lately it's nice to get my hands on a $25 ***** or $50 **** Gift Card. When I do, I lose all perspective now. I treat $25 like it's $0.25 & burn through it with these retarded parlays.
I've cashed over $200 in Proline tickets since that Selection Sunday & 5Dimes is empty. I need Kentucky or I am done for the Tourney.

I'm not really asking for advice just your opinion.
How small time am I...compared to you.

I could but as it stands right now I only own the front door.
The house could get cold if I lose the front door.

small time or big-time depends on your penis size

if you had a humungous rooster like I do, you'd know what I mean.... and you'd never ask yourself that question

for instance, while you may go get a fly-swatter if there's a fly buzzing around..... I simply whip out my power tool rooster and treat my ding dong like it's a Lousiville slugger.... yeah, that's right, fly gets batted into the upper deck

try it some time. now, if your wife catches you chasing after a fly while you're shaking your dick at it..... there could be some trouble. do it on the sly!!!1

So, what is it that constitutes a professional gambler. Do you have to be a winner? I have always wondered if you make the big hit, does that make you a pro?
If a lottery player came up to me & said I am a professional lottery player cause I won the Mega Ball & now I have enough BR to play the lottery everyday, are they professionals? Like these guys who enter a satalite poker tourney for $4 & win an event at the World Series. Now they have a million dollars, are they professional card players now?
Because I have been both successful & unsuccessful while sports betting over the last 23 years, I am aware that doesnt make me Billy Williams but am I a professional or just a hack with barley enough money to feed myself?

To be considered pro, you need to make enough money from gambling to support yourself without needing additional income sources to make ends meet. You don't need to live the million dollar "Opie" lifestyle off gambling to be considered pro. Though you put down nearly 4k in wagers, I think it would be more telling to know how many wagers you made. What was the average amount per wager?

to be considered pro, deposit at sbr books using links

from that point forward you are a professional gambler, unless you do not reup the pro status in 12 months

Its either that or "you must devote substantial time to gambling on a regular basis, and you must depend on gambling winnings as a meaningful source of income. It also helps if you conduct your gambling activities in a business-like fashion by keeping detailed records of wins and losses and developing and evaluating strategies."

you need to control how many times you bet a day, and learn to take a loss that day, and try to hold off chasing the same day, which of course isn't easily done. Keep par with your bets if possible until you think you might have enough in your account to make a bigger bet.

You are unbelievably small time and based on the way you have all of your priorities ruined you probably just shouldn't gamble. Your wife must not have must self respect to actually loan her husband money to gamble. Do you guys have kids? If you don't yet, please never do.

So when Kentucky wins by 17 today instead of taking the $150 & betting it all on Kansas M/L or over or BOTH.(like greenhippo & I would)
I should manage the bankroll differently?(like griz & football would)

Or should have all my money on Louisville moneyline? (Like the Donk,PickWinner)

I guess I chose it because I thought it had a better ring to it than Jayguywhogamblesinottawa420.

Gambling is a grind. I think a great quality to have is honesty with yourself. Runs/streaks happen and I believe betting accordingly is crucial. DAD began the NBA season 17-0 or something. He still only bet 1 unit per game. Some say this is great control but why not go up to 2 maybe 3 units per game?

Then there's times when it feels like everything is against you and you know you'll lose before you make the bet. You need to bet betpoints or maybe only 0.1 units until things even out.

I personally don't think anyone who bets real cash is small time. Small time is betpoints and free fantasy leagues.
