anyone else excited for the juanma/salido rematch tonight on showtime??
im pretty pumped about it....locked in for 1k juanma at -200....chalky but i think he comes back strong ....first fight was a classic....salido is a tough customer though and a veteran......saw juanma ko stevie luevano at msg a couple years ago on a doubleheader with gamboa.....
oh im sorry..i forgot...not many real boxing fans here.....mostly just a bunch of guys who like to call floyd a f\*g and a pussy whenever his name gets mentioned

salido is one of those guys with double digit losses that you just can`t judge by his record(just ask guerrero)........
question is,"can salido again out-tough juanma?".........hard to say......once again lopez has homecourt(although it didn`t help the first time).......
i expect lopez to be less willing to stand toe-to-toe this time around......i don`t think he wants to get into a firefight(but given how his style has devolved from a tactician to a power guy) not sure he can resist....
any way you cut it,it should be a great fight...

salido just looked like a really difficult style match for juanma...and he just looked frustrated and befuddled that he couldnt do what he wanted to do...and that he was getting his powershots countered by powershots

juanma was considered pfp on some lists......i doubt that`s true now...but he NEEDS this fight tonight....otherwise,he`s just another face in the crowd....the win over raffy marquez loses lots of luster...

i hear you about gray...met the guy once and he was pretty cool though....

and i actually like tarver and bernstein...they give pretty good insights imo
i like tarver,too....tell you who i saw that impressed me...few years back(can`t remember which network)...it was nate campbell...well spoken...articulate...and really knew his shit....i`ve followed boxing my entire life and he was saying stuff that had me shaking my head and thinking how boxing savvy he was....
maybe he just doesn`t have a big enough name...

wow...cant think of what network had the galaxxy warrior on as commentator.....him getting knocked out by robbie peden is one of the most classic/comical moments ive seen in the sport.....good guy though...dude won me a bunch of loot when i dropped on him to beat an unbeaten juan diaz...he was at +400.....guy is a true figther...dude used to work at a grocery store while he was fighting....would shadowbox on his breaks and shit....started late in the game too
that rematch loss to peden was maybe the worst wagering loss i`ve taken in my gambling career.....i didn`t care that it was in australia...i was 100% sure that campbell was going to embarrass peden in the rematch....he just didn`t show up...was legitimately beaten.....
got some payback years later when tarver beat danny green.....but that was really small potatoes compared to what i lost on campbell... that was my "back that truck of kleenex over here,boys" gambling moment....

JuanMa needs to tighten up his defense. Gamboa would potshot him for breakfast lunch and dinner.
It will be hard for Salido to win a decision in Puerto Rico, he's gonna have to Ko Lopez again IMO. Salido is also hard to finish, Lopez by decsion in the +230 rang might be the play. Maybe hedge that with Salido inside the distance for +250

salido is one tough hombre...but he`s been showing a few signs of wear and tear of late....he was knocked down a few times in his last fight(vs a filipino named weng haya who i`m honestly not familiar with) and came back and stopped his opponent.......but i`m not encouraged that he had to struggle vs this level opponent...
salido`s had a weird career...he was stopped several times early on (2000 and earlier) i guess because he was a teenager... and as he got his manly strength he seemed to get tougher...hasn`t been stopped since and he`s been in with the best...
i`ll be shocked if this one isn`t fan-friendly...
Showtime's Al Bernstein is great imo and one of my favorite boxing color men of all-time.
The rest I can take or leave.

I won't actively seek out boxing events but if there's a good fight to watch, I'm down. OP you gave 20 minutes for someone to respond before you started crying. Chill out a little bit and don't act like a douche and people will be more willing to engage.
interesting tidbit.....salido since turning 21 is something like 25-4 with the losses coming via majority decision to ex chamo alejandro gonzales/ud to juan manuel marquez/via split to cristobal cruz(who he beat a year and a half later) and gamboa(in one of gamboa`s tougher fights)........
this is a very tough fight...i may hedge my juanma par with salido itd at +260.......
should be fun...i expect multiple knockdowns...
