The PINNY lean is unopposed sharp money. Pinny has a lot of "SHARP" accounts with guys betting 10,20,30K. When 8 sharp accounts all line up on say Michigan +7 with no opposition on the other side they will use the Pinnacle lean and change the line to maybe 5.5 while the rest of the market/books will still have 7

Pinnacle hands down is the sharpest book with the sharpest clients. They have accounts with $250,000 balances betting 10K, 20K a pop like it's nothing. It's a completely different business from the Bodogs and SIA's of the world who have 2K limits and boot winners. Those books are for smaller players and not wiseguy friendly.

I'd like to, but (believe it or not) I don't track the lines enough to always catch them. I just happen to notice this one because I was capping at that particular time of the night (this usually occurs between 1 and 2 in the morning).

As an example, I hit the George Washington UNDER 140.5 at -121 this morning, and it wasn't a Pinny lean, it was sharp action moving the line. Now the line is 138 -108, after linesman have come in and changed the number.

I agree, but there's also a difference between juice at -120/125 and juice at -140/150/160 -- especially if it's a play the public is backing.

Let me see if I can follow. So if say Team A is -145 at -3 at pinny and at all other books it's -5, and then later pinny changes later to -5 later, we take team A or do we take team B?

Kind of depends on what the public is playing.

I'm not reinventing the wheel with this thread, and I'm also not guaranteeing you will cash the next play that Pinny posts at -3.5 (-140). Just pointing out that it's a good frame of reference for those of you looking for an extra angle from time to time.

Cleveland State +3 @ PINNY while everyone else was +5/+5.5 was perfect example of what the pinnacle lean is. Cleveland ST won outright.

I've occasionally observed this throughout the years, and it doesn't hit that often in the pro leagues. Hard to track in NFL as well because of pinny's lines to fukk up teasers. Never tracked it in college sports though, but I'm sure it's mad money in those. Most of the games are fixed.

Pinnacle doesn't have a lean on college basketball totals. The market is too small...with max bets of $500 they have no reason to be worried about unopposed sharp money. They already taken a stance with micro limits.

PINNY doesn't know who will win but when they get flooded with sharp money all on one side somebody knows something. Pinnacle has plenty of sharp accounts.

You can bury a local bookmaker just by playing the difference between his line and Pinnacles. Pinnacle always has the most accurate line and best information.

Boys, if you can spot these from time to time, they cash quite often. I'll never forget last year when Kansas was like -3.5 (-160) at K-State when most books had long gone to 6. Pinny eventually did as well, but they sucked the juice out of all the players who went with the consensus fave.

Just something to keep an eye on from now on -- no guarantees, but usually pretty strong hints as to which side is the right one.

i remember reading somewhere that billy walters pounded kstate at the close in that one. he may have also pulled the headfake early to drive the line up.
