    **A Royal Flush on all 5 coins (25 points) will pay an iPad 2 + the standard game payout of 4000 coins (20k points).

    Fine-print
    1. If there are no winners, we will re-run the same promo next Monday night.
    2. Players who hit a Royal Flush must stop playing immediately after being dealt the winning hand. Players who continue to play one additional hand after hitting the Royal Flush will be disqualified.
    3. Promo starts approximately at kickoff for the Monday Night Football game and expires once the game ends.
    4. This special is limited to the first 2 posters to hit any Royal Flush.

    The coinage rules is worded kindof funny IMO though... Are you basically saying it doesn't matter what number of coins we play (as far as winning the ipad) as long as we play exactly 5 points per coin (no more or less)?

    Also I'm assuming you are intending this for just the one line Jacks or Better game and not the 25 line version of the game?

    The only coin activated will be the the 5 point ($5 in-game) variety. You can bet from 1-5 of those coins.

    how bout if a royal ISNT hit during the promo, then the top 5 players who played most hands get a prize?

    say 10,000 pts split up?

    1. 5000
    2. 2500
    3. 1200
    4. 800
    5. 500


    seems fair to me since these people who play a ton of hands would be encouraged to keep betting 25 pts which could end up with them losing 2-3k pts. how bout some incentive sbr?

    If I understand this correctly best be betting all 5 coins then: at one coin (5pts) the usual payout of 4000/1 would yield 20K points, way more than the purchase price of 8,775.

    Damn, that'd be awful to be betting 4 coins (20pts) and instead of getting 80K points (9+ iPads) you get only one iPad.

    This is a slap in the face to us who enjoy the BlackJack Promos.

    The same reason they are making us have to rollover Trivia Points.

    Notice how this promo runs for the duration of MNF? For BJ we had until the first team scores.

    SBR is going to rack up the points on this and it will a reoccurring promo...who knows when we will see another BJ Promo?

    This promo sucks!

    Edit by SBR Lou: NO, his screenshot was not risking 25 points. It showed 4,000 because the payout for a five-coin $1 (5 points total) is 800/1. Don't pay that any attention, when the promo starts there won't be any $1 combinations as the first post indicates.



    edit: ok so that guy hit a royal for a min bet and it paid 4,000...so maybe this is paying a little more than double??

    I believe odds of royal are 1 in 40,000 matt.

    I don't understand how hitting a royal flush with betting one coin won't win anything but an iPad.. I mean u still could very easily spend 2k+ pts to even get there.

    Yeah I figured it was somewhere around there.

    That means, on average, people have to spend 200,000 points to win one iPad.

    Fun to always have that chance I guess, but not even close to +EV like the blackjack promos.

    Edit: Looks like benjy cleared up 1 fact. That's it a flat 4000 payout usually and not 4000:1 on your bet.

    Assuming the iPad is actually worth 8700 points (a big if), the game should be 1-2% +EV during the promo. However, the distribution of extremely skewed: 99.9% will lose money and one lucky guy will win a ton.

    I won't be participating in this promo. I much prefer a good chance to make a small profit on something like 2:1 blackjack (which would have a similar EV) than a tiny chance to make a huge profit.

    I deleted the screenshot a poster posted of our current Jacks or Better game as it's just confusing everyone.

    When the promo launches, we are modifying the game. Royal Flushes will only pay points on the 25 point combination. As the payout would be 4000 coins, that would be 20,000 betpoints.

    My interpretation of your screenshot is that 5 coins pays 4000 coins (or 25pts pays 20K points). But if you'll stick to 5 coins pays 100K in points, all the better.

    This would be +EV if it pays 100K points for 25 betpoints but only one or two people would win (if any) and a bunch of people would get spanked. They were doing payout times betpoints and not coins so I doubt they will stick with it.
