Hard to believe he won't be around next year.
I remeber watching him at LSU thinking what a star he is going to be.
That certainly proved to be true.

    Good for him.

Good player, seemed like a good guy.

Just tooled around the last few years trying to grab another championship, but he was one of the greatest bigs.

Yup, A fat NBA player at 38 has no chance of staying healthy. If he dropped 75 lbs now, he probably could still play and wouldn't have toe and hammy issues.

He was definitely appreciated. I think it's a good decision to hang it up now, he already stuck around too long and father time shut him down.

Great in his time, laziness cost the Lakers at least 1-2 more rings, talked too much sh!t when he'd jump from team to team, ring chaser the past handful of seasons, but a good personality for the NBA.

Shaq was a great guy .

Wished he had tried the under hand free throws.

Would have made him better still.

If someone is willing to pay him 8 figures a season, he'd be foolish to say no. Shaq was a force for over a decade. I'm sure ESPN or TNT will look to bring him onboard if there is a season next year.
