    Well it wasn't 2 weeks obviously but these guys are relentless I guess I learned my lesson but I hope they don't come back.. I was thinking of getting a gun to shoot one of these fukks if they come back!!

    Hard for me to have sympathy for something like this. I stopped using bookies long ago but it was a reverse situation. When i lost i always paid. Then i finally won $4500 and i got stiffed. So i have little sympathy for people that go around stiffing others. If you would have won and he stiffed you how would you have felt.

    last thing a book wants to deal with is the police over an assualt charge. The days of books beating people up are long gone. now they may show up at your work site or at your in-laws, but once again, if someone calmy tells them that they next time they stop by to see you, that you will contact the police and give them the books name and phone number, and if ANYTHING happens to you, the first person the police will suspect is the book.

    They will leave you alone.

    CC companies, banks, etc all write off bad debt. So do books. It happens.

    Yeah he was on skype and couldn't believe it's only been a week so he probably got that mixed up.

    I would usually agree with this, but in this economy 10k is 10k again. The beating could have been to also see what he would do. I don't see any mention of police involvement.

    If i was a bookie that would be my next stop to parents/family, stop by his work then explain who and why you are there. The embarrassment of gambling/losing would make people come up with money they didn't have before.

    Skity a book isn't going to beat up a client. Simply won't happen. This is 2011. last thing a book needs is the feds at his doorstep wanting to talk about the guy who got f#(k pummled in the wal-mart parking lot over a GAMBLING debt.

    Local police aren't going to waste their time trying to track down a local book, but they sure as shit will show up and make a call on a person who is thought to have something to do with having someone beat up. And BTW why we are here, can we please discuss GAMBLING with you. No book wants that kind of attention.

    A local cop will look the other way when someone is taking in action on a few games, but when they are having folks BEAT UP. Nawwwwwww, then the games are over, and EVERY Bookie knows that.
