nfl got what they wanted today....

They wanted seattle to win so now they won't have to fix the playoffs as they'll always point to this explain.... and they allowed the jets to win so they can have jets pats talk all week.. and get steelers ravens.. perfect for the nfl.... exactly what they wanted

Or the Colts have a bad head coach and the Saints really are not that good and they did not take the Seahawks seriously...

do you the nfl wants the falcons and seahawks in prime time saturday night???? i think not....

perfect set up for tomorrow.. they know that 8 clock time slot is a great time to put a good game on... wont be good if the eagles win...

keep the bears and seahawks at 1 on sunday... only people betting on it or football junkies are gonna watch it anyway..

you say "so they won't have to fix playoffs" .... but the seattle win will make people yell more about them getting a home game with a 7-9 record. If they lost the fuss might be over by now, but now the talking/griping will continue.

Most conspiracy theories about leagues manipulating results are bad but those are some of the weakest I've seen.

Why is so hard for some people to believe that professional games can be fixed?

The NFL would love to have Seahawks and Patriots with Matt Hasstleback from Boston College. Nobody wants to see Philly, so expect GB to get all the calls in that game, just saying, though, anything is possible, and yes Indy plays like a bunch of stiffs from coaching to all players on the field.

They want Vick to return to Atlanta for the NFC title game and get his revenge against the Bears. Eagles beat the Pack

IMO, there are a lot of good ideas in this thread coming from various posters. I've seen a couple of people make very good points. I think I might have to reconsider who I'm taking today and next weekend.

possibly but tough to think nfl wants to have people keep talking up his success story

There's no way the NFL wanted the Seahawks to win. No network wanted that Seattle/NO game this week and I'm sure after all the games are played that will be the one with the worst ratings. Now whichever team they play next week will be the game no one watches. NO vs. ATL/CHI gets a LOT higher ratings than SEA vs. ATL/CHI

This about sums it up. If the Colts had won, I'm sure some Jet-backers would have believed the NFL was fixing it for "golden boy" Peyton.
