    Julius Thomas to the Fish.

Julius Thomas will be reunited with Adam Gase.

The Jaguars tight end will be traded to the Dolphins, a source informed of the pending move told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. The trade cannot become official until March 9, though, which is when the new league year begins.

Gase, Miami's head coach, was the Broncos offensive coordinator during Thomas' two most productive seasons in the league from 2013-14. The pass catcher played two seasons in Jacksonville after signing a five-year, $46 million contract with the team in the 2015 offseason.

Around The NFL will have more on this shortly.

Look at all WRs/TEs with and without Manning. It's unreal how much their production goes up with Manning. In his first 13 games with Manning in Denver, Welker caught more TDs than he ever caught in a full season with Brady throwing to him. Dallas Clark, Brandon Stokely, Eric Decker, Austin Collie, Julius Thomas, etc. etc. All looked like pro bowlers under Manning. E. Sanders...never had more than 65 catches in any season with Big Ben. Breaks 100 catches in first season with Manning. Julius Thomas should be cutting a check to Peyton Manning.

I think this is a great move. They needed a big TE threat. Yeah, he was overrated because of one good year, but he's no bum. I told my diehard Dolphins fan friend that they need a TE, and here we go. The Dolphins are building something, even though I think they have the worst colors in the NFL.

Football trades mean nothing because most players do no last 8-10 games anymore

Good acquisition. They still need to get rid of Tannehill, and fix the secondary that is Charmin soft and terrible at pass coverage.

Losing Jones didn't help our case last year. Our biggest concern right now is linebackers and one CB.

I love it. I'd still like to draft maybe oj howard. Or running back. Dolphins need a playmaker this draft. Starter plus a new set of guards. Unless bushrod is still an option

It's the same old caca every year for Miami. The bottom line is very simple. They do not have the talent to compete with the better AFC teams. They need a complete overhaul. They were dismembered this past season by Pitt in the playoffs and have not won a playoff game since 2000. Now that is the record of a terrible team.

I think Julius Thomas is everrated. Miami does not have a great QB so his numbers may not just blow up.
Miami would have probably been better served developing Sims and/or Gray who are talented and have tons
of potential. Julius probably comes with a hefty price tag too.
