Newbie question about wagering rules (specifically middling)

Is it an unwritten rule not to try and middle an nfl game for example with a sportsbook? I'm not talking about using live betting to do this, I'm just referring to regular line movements throughout the week that might present you with an opportunity if you happen to bet a line early. Or even something that might not even be profitable, like teasing both sides of 2-3 games. I haven't dug deep in the terms and conditions of every site but I have read some and haven't seen anything regarding this yet. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

It's fine to bet both sides of the same game at most places.

Only exception might be when rolling over bonus funds.

I wouldn't get into the habit of teasing both teams/same game situation because that 2nd part of your teaser still has to come through for you. I've been burned many times that way.

But I try to middle all the time. I like catching live lines and middling that way. Now I've learned live betting can really penetrate your night up if you catch a bad break so I try to just place one play and ride it out.

Proceed with caution though. Just my 2 cents.
